[ It's very rare that Varian actively addresses the network himself. He's not an overly social person and usually when he's coming on here personally, it's to deliver bad news. This is no exception, unfortunately, but at least for once this isn't a disaster he's created himself. ]

Uh. Hey guys. I'm reaching out on behalf of Harumasa Asaba. I'm... I'm sure some of you know him. Probably a lot of you, actually. He's good at talking to people.

[ Fuckin' extrovert. Varian takes a deep breath, it's clear this is miserable news to relay - he's deeply unhappy about all of this. ]

Haru has a disease called Elemental Aptitude Regression Syndrome. To simplify it for this post, it is a condition which effectively makes being in a place with an overabundance of spiritual or elemental energy poisonous for his heart and lungs. He can't just... leave due to reasons I'm... I'm not at liberty to say, but at this point the condition is terminal. He... he has a year minimum, two if we're lucky.

[ And here we are, the source of Varian's upset. Something sad and hurt crosses his features for just a moment, before he's back to task. ]

I... I feel we'd be remiss if we didn't take the opportunity to reach out for help to the app at large. There are people from all kinds of worlds, who... who might have various ideas on methods we can use to try and help him. Haru agreed and let me post this. I figured with the library here too... well, it's too good an opportunity to pass up, just in case someone finds something that might have otherwise been missed. So. So that's what that is, reaching out to see if anyone would be able to help with this.

I ask that you don't... don't reach out to Haru himself or Jun about this. They're not focusing on this right now, Haru is more focused on enjoying the time he has left just in case... [ hmmm nope, not finishing that thought ] and Jun is focusing on helping take care of him as his condition worsens. I'm happy to answer any questions that you have, and I'll uh... leave it to the rest of Haru's family and friends to speak up if they wanna be a point of contact. But yeah... any help you guys can give? It would be greatly appreciated.

Haru's been seeing his doctor for a long time. He's exhausted all conventional medicine. So now we're looking for unconventional medicine. We're still in the early stages of research yet, so the door is quite literally wide open for us to try things out.

I don't know much help I can be, since even though I'm related to him by blood I'm not human and haven't been for a few years now, but I can get things if people need them. I'm pretty resistant to corruption and all that.

I think I'd be the same way, if I was in this guy's shoes.

I live in a garden that has plants grown under a god's power. If I could bring you some of the plants that are like. Made by her power, I don't know, maybe they could help...? Some plants have stronger medicinal effects than others.

Wolfwood has his vials that can heal his wounds and stuff, but. I think they're only effective on him, and they take a toll on the body, anyway...

I wish I could help. This is way over my head.

That might be helpful, actually! The plants. [He knows that Harumasa has Apollo in him, and Varian is not going to disclose that here, so he doesn't know if that would cause... interference. Or maybe it would work in his favour. Greek god power to work with a Greek God. It could go either way, but he's not about to leave any stone unturned.] We can give them a try if nothing else.

And it's okay, Vash. I'm pretty sure of us are all way over our heads. That's why I brought this to the network.

I've been visiting the library a lot myself recently, let me see what I can dig up. And I can be a point of contact if needed, Harumasa's my friend.

Hi Nito - that would help. Jun's usually really great when it comes to plant life, but I want to keep to his wishes as much as I can. He wants to focus more of his time on his brother than the cure search. Given there's always a chance we might end up needing a magical plant of some kind having someone who will be able to take care of it would be needed, thanks.
