Happy July everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful Pride season and a good summer so far! I myself had a wonderful month, as I decided to take some time off - which is the real reason for my absence! [It was not, she was in the office every day] All and all, I'd say it was a wonderful start to the summer!

Anyway, enough about me- time for some announcements! The Kaisou Anime Convention will be happening at the Civic Center this weekend! The convention will be taking place every weekend, and there will be several family friendly panels sponsored by Zodiac- so dress up like your favorite ninjas and animes and check it out!

Also, this friday please come check out the firework show in Blue Fish Park! Zodiac is one of the many sponsors and we're excited to light up the night sky for the holiday! Please don't let the weather forecasts of heavy downpours all weekend be enough to discourage you! You gotta try to think positive after all!

Do not worry, I completely understand. I had a similar attitude towards someone. In fact, if you can believe it, I was the one doing what Mr. Harumasa is doing right now.

[He has won an argument by weighing more/being bigger, and in his opinion, its a legitimate strategy.]

I knew this app recorded birthdays, as it had prompted me to enter my own, but with Mr. Harumasa and I being from the same 'life', as he's told me, I idly checked his profile for clues about my past. I may have simply just recorded his birthday as well.

Bitter is an easy flavour profile to work with, I appreciate it very kindly.

And his dietary restrictions would be very helpful to me as well. I would hate to give him something he wasn't able to stomach.

Keep this from him, but I have acquired him a manageable potted bamboo plant. I've read that they represent strength and flexibility, which is what I observed from my interactions with him at first glance. They also represent good luck, and hope for prosperity.

It might be a bit of an early read, but I was wondering if you were familiar with this plant and any tips you might recommend.

Ah, lucky bamboo! Haha, I have fond memories of those- I owned one when I was 14. It was my first houseplant that was fully mine to care for. I named it Cricket.

They're easy enough to care for. You keep them indirect lightning, replace the water once a week and get rid of any yellowing leaves or stalks.

Normally I'd say they're the perfect gift... but unfortunately they're toxic to cats. I'm not worried about Haru eating it, but he does have a pet cat who... well, I can't guarantee she wouldn't try to take a bite.

I did not realize Mr. Harumasa had a cat. A live bamboo plant would certainly not be suitable then, for its safety.

But it is not an issue. A bartender is always ready to adapt to any situation, and I've already taken steps for an alternative.

Meanwhile, I suppose I have accidentally acquired my own bamboo plant for the corner of my kitchen. You said you name your plants...is that common?

And ah, no probably not. I was nerdy, so I was a pretty lonely kid. [Sure Jun, that's why] But you should name it anyway if you come up with a good name! It's a good way to build a personal bond between you and your plant. And like any living creature, plants really thrive if there's a bond.

I tend to take it very seriously. I have a reputation to keep up, since I am usually reserved for cruise lines for spring and early summer.

[There's a small glance to the bamboo plant next to him. He thinks he's starting to see the appeal in naming something. He's already starting to feel affection for it.

But to answer Jun's question..]

As far as the sea itself is concerned, there is nothing that compares to the ocean air. You breathe in and you feel as if you can take flight like the seagulls above. And below you is Mother Nature herself, allowing you to rest on her surface.

As for passengers, you will find all walks of life blending together. Mothers with their children hoping to make a lifelong memory, romantic couples wanting to spend the trip with no one but each other, and other such things.

The customers I usually interact with were wealthy, and often frequented the bar I tend for one reason or another. Sometimes they discuss business opportunities, philanthropy, or talk of politics and worldly news. And some... try to get to know me personally.

[Fancy way of saying 'drunkenly hit on'. He's had to handle so many at this point it's mundane.]
