Happy July everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful Pride season and a good summer so far! I myself had a wonderful month, as I decided to take some time off - which is the real reason for my absence! [It was not, she was in the office every day] All and all, I'd say it was a wonderful start to the summer!

Anyway, enough about me- time for some announcements! The Kaisou Anime Convention will be happening at the Civic Center this weekend! The convention will be taking place every weekend, and there will be several family friendly panels sponsored by Zodiac- so dress up like your favorite ninjas and animes and check it out!

Also, this friday please come check out the firework show in Blue Fish Park! Zodiac is one of the many sponsors and we're excited to light up the night sky for the holiday! Please don't let the weather forecasts of heavy downpours all weekend be enough to discourage you! You gotta try to think positive after all!

[ Hugo was obviously out and about somewhere by the sounds of the muffled, quiet city in the background. Where he was made him sound no less annoyed when his voice finally comes through, though. ]

[ A pause; a short reprieve as he took a breath. If Lycaon was so attached to seeing him as the villain, he would continue playing that role. ]

[There's a soft pause on Lycaon's end as well, as words catch in his throat. As if knowing deep down that he too played a role in the path Hugo walked. It's not a moment he's proud of, and the truth that he did doubt Hugo for even a moment is a poison jab to his heart. Even if he doesn't entirely agree that should be his responsibility to start with.

Hugo was so much better than that. He'd still like to think so.

Using that silence, he looks at the meal Jane had delivered for him, and he recollects himself. When he speaks up, his voice has lost a little of that edge.]

No. Aside from his petulant jabs at me, he has not caused me any harm.

[Though harm did come to him because of his actions, Lycaon would never place Hugo at fault. It's complicated. After that, he quickly turns this private. If Zulius could see him now, his ears would be folded down slightly.]

He made a grave mistake in the past and he refuses to acknowledge it, and our partnership ended due to it. And now he states that I am the one who betrayed him.

In hindsight, perhaps I should have done more to prevent it. I should have seen the signs.
