You can't see the spirit vein through the thick clouds and deluge of water, but it's shifted into shades of blues. Everyone's devices will emit a soothing wind chime sound as a new Zodiac post appears. The chime will sound even if you have your phone turned off or on silent, and will not stop until you read their messsage and comment to it.]

Happy July everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful Pride season and a good summer so far! I myself had a wonderful month, as I decided to take some time off - which is the real reason for my absence! [It was not, she was in the office every day] All and all, I'd say it was a wonderful start to the summer!

Anyway, enough about me- time for some announcements! The Kaisou Anime Convention will be happening at the Civic Center this weekend! The convention will be taking place every weekend, and there will be several family friendly panels sponsored by Zodiac- so dress up like your favorite ninjas and animes and check it out!

Also, this friday please come check out the firework show in Blue Fish Park! Zodiac is one of the many sponsors and we're excited to light up the night sky for the holiday! Please don't let the weather forecasts of heavy downpours all weekend be enough to discourage you! You gotta try to think positive after all!

i'd call that more of a lukewarm take honestly

the best food always comes from places that rich people would rather die than walk into. nothing beats the tandoori chicken from my favorite hole in the wall

going back to the basics and learning technique will make even ordinary ingredients shine

I do agree with the sentiment that the smaller independent places often tend to have more honest and comforting flavours, though I don't necessarily think that the high end restaurant chefs are lacking in skill.

I believe a novice who masks their lack of skill with the high end equipment to compensate is more the issue.

that's true, it's not like there's an issue with fancy restaurants. i just think that people sometimes overlook what's close by and more available

you definitely don't need a million dollars' worth of gadgets to make a good meal

my best roast was made with a bunch of rocks around a fire and some salt! of course that's a bit frowned upon by the fire department (who apparently do not set fires) so i got a barbecue

also i think i've seen you before, you work for Zules right??? my name's Amal, i usually don't stay at the Vogue long because i'm busy but it's nice to see you on here!

You're correct. Some of my fondest memories of getting food were just little places who wanted to share their culinary creations with others.

Though in the best interest of safety, sometimes it is better to invest in equipment.

Ah, that's correct. I'm one of the bartenders there. It seems my coworkers have all had this app for some time and now I've stumbled upon it.

uhhh well that's like a.... nickname for them. i think the official term is otherworlders?

damn it why is it always me ... people always ask me to explain this kind of stuff but im not a scholar

the long and short of it is this:

a couple of years ago, the spirit vein got damaged somehow and it started pulling in people who aren't from earth

i was one of the first off-world people who ended up here. libra hadn't even been set up yet. that was........ after christmas i think

we still haven't found a proper way home, but sometimes isekais disappear and i haven't noticed anything weird so i imagine they find a way but can't tell anyone about it

as for me, i don't plan on going home, since everyone else has it handled

don't apologize!!! i've basically gone native at this point and like i said i've been here for a long time

it was honestly not that bad. i mean the paperwork is hard and some of the laws make no sense but it was fine. i make money doing what i love most, and the gods here don't need killing so i don't have to worry about world-shattering responsibilities or anything like that

rose and takame have been through worse than i have. i almost died once but that was not as bad as the time i might've-died on my world, and it was my own fault anyways

I can only imagine how removed the laws from your universe are in comparison to ours. It is not even on the same plane as something as simple as going to a new country. But I commend you for adapting to the world nonetheless.

yeah. all of this is to say, i'm not from toronto even though that's what my ID says. i don't know what a toronto is, it's just what zodiac gave me when i needed paperwork and happened to come from out of..... world
