[As June comes to an end, so comes the heavy rains and thunder that indicates the arrival of the water element month. You can't see the spirit vein through the thick clouds and deluge of water, but it's shifted into shades of blues. Everyone's devices will emit a soothing wind chime sound as a new Zodiac post appears. The chime will sound even if you have your phone turned off or on silent, and will not stop until you read their messsage and comment to it.]

Hello and thank you for using the Libra app.

Happy July everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful Pride season and a good summer so far! I myself had a wonderful month, as I decided to take some time off - which is the real reason for my absence! [It was not, she was in the office every day] All and all, I'd say it was a wonderful start to the summer!

Anyway, enough about me- time for some announcements! The Kaisou Anime Convention will be happening at the Civic Center this weekend! The convention will be taking place every weekend, and there will be several family friendly panels sponsored by Zodiac- so dress up like your favorite ninjas and animes and check it out!

Also, this friday please come check out the firework show in Blue Fish Park! Zodiac is one of the many sponsors and we're excited to light up the night sky for the holiday! Please don't let the weather forecasts of heavy downpours all weekend be enough to discourage you! You gotta try to think positive after all!

If I may say, I cannot imagine you as anyone other than yourself now. Your experience does make me curious of what world I came from--if it was anything like this, if my past was any different. Your mind can lose itself in thought at the possibilities.

I admit that I know very little about cooking, but by the definition you gave, I don't think it's a hot take if you're objectively correct.

It feels like things have clicked, in a way. It's truly warming. Though I think I failed the ice-breaker that was provided. It seems that the hot take I had given was not quite so controversial as you'd think.

I've learned a bit of grilling myself, though I wouldn't call myself an expert.

I'd put money on you having a mischievous side, certainly~ I'd even bet you were a terror as a kid and mellowed out as you grew older. You could say I'm familiar with the type.

[ Lycaon is a GOOD BOY and Zulius will fight that forever. It's honestly kind of cute- the formality. Zulius' partner is much the same and it's always endearing to him. ]

It so can! And you never know what'll trigger a memory. Sometimes, it'll just PING in there because someone did or said something that someone in your past life did. OH! And you get powers too! Both from your past life AND from this world. They just happen too.

Oh boy, yeah that's gotta be a whole thing! My partner learned he had a whole hecking identical TWIN in his past life when he showed up! I've never had it happen to myself, but it sounds like it's pretty disconcerting when it hits. Like, you've gotta play catchup with a strange but they know you already.

Oh. Yeah. That. That's a thing. There was a war and a monster and stuff. My past self fought in the like, FINAL battle and everything's okay there now.

...I mean, from my last memories anyway, given the whole... all of us not form this world are like, from destroyed words things. Pretty sure it wasn't destroyed while past-me was alive on it!

I definitely didn't expect it when I first joined the app myself... but I've definitely met some of the best friends I've ever had because of the app, so I'm sure you will, too.

[There is a brief pause, flustered a little by the text on his screen.

For one, Harumasa is incredibly good at reading people, as he did have a wilder side when he was young. That pause does nothing to hide it.]

[Two, Harumasa's real power is his words. He finds himself a bit taken aback by the compliments that he hovers over the keys trying to reconcile such flirtatious words.

He's just--this is a tactic, isn't it.]

Your powers of flattery are noteworthy yourself, Mr. Harumasa. I'm impressed how much you threw me off balance.

While I do strive to be dignified, I'm nothing out of the ordinary.

A good reason to strive to improve. I've never had siblings myself, but it would inspire me to provide the best I could for them if I did.

Lycaon. I am acquainted with Mr. Fugo, I take it you are quite familiar as well?

[By context clues, he thinks he knows the relation, but he'll let Ash confirm himself]

[Harumasa isn't one to give idle compliments, either. If they're not somewhat backhanded, then they're sincere.

... But he's also not immune to being complimented in turn. He never expects them.]

Nothing wrong with that. Maybe in some ways, people will find you extraordinary even if you don't agree with the sentiment. In my opinion, Lycaon is Lycaon and I think that's all you ever need to be, regardless of your past.

And, just from this brief conversation, I can definitively say that I like who the present Lycaon is~

That fills me with optimism. I want to remember these people who speak so kindly to me, but I don't know where to start on searching for clues. Patience will be the best method, I'm sure, but the heart often wishes for the answers sooner.

[He thinks for a minute.]

Perhaps I'll rent a movie about a character with amnesia overcoming their predicament. It's a bit like research, isn't it?

But I am certain you lived a long, peaceful life, Sir Zulius. Your kindness and strength in this life only exemplifies what you must've been back in the past.

[He can't run from that sort of sincerity...

Despite that mildly threatening tilda, Lycaon smiles back at the screen, eyes softening. This man who knows so much about him from a previous era already saying that he enjoys the present version of himself? It's a bit uplifting, a bit flattering, and it gives him such a cozy feeling inside.

Perhaps the shoes aren't as big to fill as he thought.]

Thank you, Mr. Harumasa. With all this new information I'd contemplated if I was a shadow of my previous life. But as long as who I am now is wanted in this world, then I will be myself and let the memories come to me naturally. And if it's not too bold to say, I've enjoyed speaking with you as well.

Hm. I wouldn't say I know them, specifically. More like I have witnessed them.

Perhaps all barbecues just attract the type.

So that's what it means: Hot take.

The monthly questions are intended to be conversation starters, so I can see why they want something that instigates discussion.

But I do wonder if asking for a hot take might be borrowing trouble.

At the very least, I can say that we are friends, and that is a well enough start.

Though I have to say I've thoroughly embarrassed myself on my lack of Hot Take knowledge.
