you would not believe your eyes if ten million fireflies lit up the world
WHO: Yasuho, March, and Ritsuka!
WHERE: from Undertown to the park!
WHEN: mid to late May
WHAT: The Girls Collect Fireflies. jury's out on whether March realizes she might have a crush on Yasuho in the process. please pray for Ritsuka playing the third wheel.
WARNINGS: none so far!
[The wizard is probably going to regret this. Or maybe not, as long as he gets his fireflies back.
March is determined to help him do this, of course! She's a Nameless of the Astral Express even here and now, she's never not willing to help out. The money is a nice incentive, though. She brings her camera along with her, on the faint chance that maybe her seer abilities will actually materially help her this once.
They just might.]

Groaning into her hands, Yasuho sighs, and starts...taking off her stockings??
"You guys get these ones I'll... ughhhh I'll be back..."
And then with a flicker of light speed to help her shuffle along, oop, she's In The Water!
Mourn her not, gals, she's gonna be bait.

"Oh no oh no oh no be careful!" Ugh, she can't do anything from here! Freezing the birds out would be her usual go-to, but she hadn't thought they'd be attacked by anything today while just trying to gather fireflies! "Ritsuka, we have to help her—"

And perhaps fortunately, she'd been in enough situations somewhat like this to know to keep calm, stick to the plan, and most importantly of all trust her friend knew what she was doing.
"The best way to help is for us to get out of her as fast as possible, so she can escape too," she said, grabbing at the oars. And then without waiting for a response, she was rowing hard. Please, just trust them both, March!!

And especially her!!!
...
"Shoot, shoot, shoot, shoot-"
Eventually, they'll find her back on shore beating back those geese with a big fat fish tail...don't lose those fireflies though...

"The geese aren't going to hurt her too badly, right?" she asks.

Fortunately, with them no longer bothering to be quiet about it, the boat moved along fairly quickly. Ritsuka hopped out as soon as it ran aground and started pulling it further in.
"I'll try to put it back, go get Yasuho and I can get us out of here!"
And the fireflies of course, but they should be safe sitting in the boat to be grabbed once it was put away for now.

She's doing great, she really is. Granted, the most visible parts of her are probably the faint gleam rainbows from when she uses magic at all, but that's fine, it's fine.
At least they got those fireflies. Where to next?

All right, then. She's just going to dive right in and start frantically paddling to where Yasuho is! A ball of ice forms in her hand, and she chucks it at the birds—not really aiming to do much damage, just trying to scare them off. "Yasuho!" she calls.

Ritsuka would just be here, you know, putting the boat back where they found it and gathering up the captured fireflies. And finding somewhere nearby but away from Goose Territory to wait.

"WHAT-!?"
But as beached as she is, she can't do much except watch as March starts paddling over. "Wh- March what are you doing!?"
At least one of them is handling the fireflies. And ooo-
...Well a few geese do look at where the ice landed, but they're mostly not giving it much attention. Oh well.
