[ Husk has been working for a few months to reduce the drinking and the gambling. He's tried it in the past, going cold turkey at the Order's demands. They sent him to AA meetings too, but given that place expects you to have faith in a higher power wanting more for you while you know for a fact that higher power not only exists but sent you to Hell rather scuppers that particular healing process.

But he loves his family, and he wants to try for them, so here he is, doing his best. He's been trying to find new ways to occupy his mind, to help him not think about how much he wanted a drink or to go to the casino. He's been trying a few things with varying success. Right now, he's trying to put together a jigsaw, his reading glasses perched on his muzzle, squinting at the pile of pieces in the box. ]

This is bullshit. I need a piece of sky and there' ain't any pieces of fuckin' sky left.

[ Lapis knows Husk is trying, and she's grateful that he is - and she knows it will be difficult process to cut back on everything, after all these years, but they're here to support him. And that includes... helping with his new hobbies, like puzzles. At least puzzles are harmless enough, nothing can go wrong with those.

(A lot can go wrong with those.)

The lady of the house glances over when she brings him a drink, placing the mug on the table next to him before taking a sip from her own in the other hand. Let's see, let's see... ]

[ jinwoo's definitely been offering to binge-watch tv shows or movie trilogies with Husk to help keep him distracted--it was his own favorite thing to do anyway, why not share the hobby since they have a whole-ass mini-movie-theatre in the house--but.

doing puzzles isn't the worst past time either. even if he held his tongue against the thought of 'old people do puzzles.'

As he watches the other struggle, just one thought comes to mind.

...and as he usually thinks before he speaks 10 times.
this thought comes tumbling out so fast, he even covers his mouth after saying it as if it'd escaped against his will. ]
