So, er--I came into work this morning and things were...different? Let's go with 'different'. We didn't have a courtyard yesterday, for one thing. For another-

My lecture hall's appeared overnight. The one I teach in. In London. How'd it-

[Something indistinct was said offscreen in a voice recognizable as Diarmuid's, with Waver looking off to the side like he didn't remotely believe what he was hearing.]

...the fuck do you mean there's a dorm building?

[He glanced back to the camera as if he'd almost forgotten it was recording, briefly scrambling to recover even the faintest semblance of knowing what he was doing.]

Uh...that is to say, I'm pleased to announce it seems Cygnus Academy has dorm space now? If you'll excuse me, I think I have to go remake the academy's barrier and hope I can still maintain the damn thing.

What's there to complain about? You get free buildings and you didn't even need to hire anyone to build them. [A beat, then contemplatively:] Suppose the need to cover all of it with a barrier's something to complain about, now that I think about it.

I can stop by more often while you're setting up a bigger barrier, keep an eye out.

Takame's going to handle covering the dorms, but that still leaves me incorporating that huge courtyard. And on that note, I'll probably have to find some source for destructable targets, since it's a good size for a practice range.

[It really ought to be par for the course at this point, a whole part of the building Waver taught at appearing. Diarmuid wanted to get a proper gauge of how long it would take him to cross the grounds and compare and contrast his speed with that of a human's. Same with the Courtyard.

Once he had a fair approximation, he opted to meet Waver in one of the newly appeared lecture rooms that had a tinge of familiarity in the back of his mind.]

I've returned. The dorm building grounds are larger than they seem, but the paths are straightforward and not difficult to map. [As expected of Diarmuid to have new ground logged into his mind for quick and easy reference. All a matter of following that north star, so to speak.]

Well...maybe it makes sense, given all the other shit that tends to appear.

[Diarmuid has actually liked the handful of excursions to Dragonspine he's taken with others in the Order, but the place was among the harshest wildernesses he's seen. Still, it was said with a chuckle as if to emphasize yeah this is small potatoes comparatively.

Oh, it's nothing, just...I don't know if I ever really thought about it before. The lecture hall I teach in is the same one I stormed out of years ago. [He huffed out a quiet laugh, shaking his head.]

...I never really spoke to most of the others in that class; they didn't exactly like me all that much. Still, it's hard not to wonder where the rest of them ended up.
