UN: Zodiac | Happy July!
WHO: Everyone!
WHERE: Libra App
WHEN: July 1st
WHAT: Zodiac Network Post
WARNINGS: None!
[What was a pleasant June evening will turn hot and muggy as it begins cloud over. Soon, you are all treated to the first downpour of July as the Spirit Vein shifts to the water element. Everyone's devices will emit a soothing wind chime sound as a new Zodiac post appears. The chime will sound even if you have your phone turned off or on silent, and will not stop until you read their messsage and comment to it.]
Diablo has joined the app. Say hi everyone!
Opal and Nicholas have left the app.
[The post then continues on.]
Hello and thank you for using the Libra app.
Happy July everyone!
We hope everyone had a wonderful Pride season! We'd first like to thank you with all your assistance with Barbieland. Reports indicate that the Spirit Realm has returned to normal, and it shouldn't impact the release of Barbies moving forward. Thank you for preventing a fiscal disaster from one of our proud partners!
As we move onto July and the Fourth of July, we'd like to remind you that Zodiac sells packs of fireworks! Check those out at any location where fireworks are sold. Though be careful not to get caught out in any rainstorms with them this rainy season, they are unfortunately NOT waterproof.
And speaking of fireworks, we got a surprise for you all! At the behest of the PR department, we've added a few lucky Zodiac employees to the Libra app. These lovely folks will be more than happy to hear out your opinions and answer any questions you might have! Don't feel like you have to hold back, right?
Oh, and just so you know who they are:
Have fun guys! I hope it's spicy enough for you.
And with that, we'll finish things off with the ever popular icebreaker!

This post is sponsored by Kaisou Apple Orchard! Come for the apples, stay for the Applins!
[Users will have the option to choose their own display names and userpics if they haven't already. If nothing is chosen, the app will use their real name and a quick photo taken of them from their camera's phone.
Zodiac AUs will have been given no warning that they were going to be added to the Libra network, and any attempts to reach out to the company will end with radio silence. You guys are on your own. Best of luck.
OOC Note: If you haven't responded to AC, you still have until 11:59am EST today to do so! Once you do, you'll be removed from this post. ]

where I'm from people are private a lot of the time, but at festivals it's different, then everything is supposed to be noisy and big, you know?
no subject
I can understand that. And sometimes Austria is just as public in festivities. Being here, however, has made me honestly realize that things are much larger and louder than what I'm used to.
It's not a bad thing- I simply needed to adjust when I first arrived.

oh yeah pretty much everything about America is big
no subject
As I've seen. I do have to wonder if some of the celebrations here have influenced other celebrations in the world over time. It's a fascinating thing to think about.
no subject
Oh! I'm pretty sure valentine's day in Japan was based on the American one originally, but now it's a bit different. like Americans don't have White Day at all
no subject
White Day? I’ve only heard about it through word of mouth- I had no idea its roots came from Valentine’s Day over here.
no subject
Well see in Japan Valentine's Day got to be really popular for girls to give chocolates to guys, so White Day was added a month later for the guys to give something back. But here it's just the one Valentine's Day, and I think people usually just treat it as a couples holiday or something? They don't have girichoco or anything here either
no subject
I see. The separation is an interesting idea, and I can understand why there are two holidays or one. For Austria, we mostly hand out red tulips or roses and give chocolates, though Vienna tends to be the busiest place people go to on that day.
no subject
Does it make a difference whether you give someone a tulip or a rose, or do they both mean the same kinda thing?
no subject
For couples, they both mean the same thing, usually. Some will argue one holds more significance over the other, but I've never truly seen a difference. My parents would gift each other flowers every Valentinstag, and they seemed happy about it.
no subject
That's interesting. Usually I've just heard of different flowers all meaning different kinds of things. Like flower language and stuff, you know?
no subject
Usually, yes. I think in our case, it's more of the action than what the flower itself means, other than being considered romantic. I've heard that there are rare dances still held during that day, but I never saw any myself.
no subject
oh that makes sense. A lot of gifts it matters more why the person's giving it than the gift itself I think.
no subject
For several people I know, the actions always outweigh the gift. Mostly because of how much they took the time to either find the item, or make it themselves. It's the meaning behind it.
no subject
I mean it's also nice to give people nice things too of course, but yeah even if you buy something it's different when you really think about what to pick out and everything.
no subject
Sometimes it's not even something bought, but made, that makes a difference too. Care and love can be shown in many ways, I've found.
no subject
More like the fourth, if you count each time one of Chaldea's bases had to be abandoned, too.
Yeah, in Japan it's popular for girls to make their own chocolates to give to guys they really like for Valentine's Day, instead of just buying some.
