Still not dead, the post's just late because I decided to take a few extra days off.

Honestly that's good to hear. Too many people with money to burn back in uni made really bad choices. May as well have burned it literally with all the good it ever did.

At least there's a way to get some peace and quiet. I can't have it just ringing away in some places.

You are not wrong about that. I come from a family of wealthy people and the amount of wasteful they are with their own fortunes is pathetic.

But I digress. That is not an important topic of discussion. If you are new to this app, you will have to get used to the idea of more than just the app disturbing your life in the coming days.

Would you believe me if I said magic has been part of my life for a while now? Maybe all of this is happening for me now because I just returned from overseas.

I would believe you. Given my experiences are similar. I moved here from Italy about a year ago, after first discovering magic. The power in this city is... different. Like a broken waterpipe pouring over.

Have you lived in Kaisou most of your life? Perhaps your overseas trip pre-dated the leyline breaking.

It was different overseas too. Mostly just normal things like ghosts. That description of how this place feels matches up with my experiences so far.

More or less yeah. It was around three years ago that I left for university.

I am not sure I would call 'ghosts' normal things, but I suppose in comparison with everything else strange in this world, that is one thing that can be considered typical.

In the time you were gone, I feel, many things took a very rapid change for the worse, here.
Starting with the condition you can see of the sky.

I guess for most people, ghosts aren't normal. They've been a part of my life since I was very young, so sometimes I forget that's the exception rather than the rule.

It really seems that way. It might sound strange to say I'm glad to have come back when I did... but knowing about it is much better than not, for me.
