Two Nights Only - Buy Now
WHO: Sampo, Caelus, Noctis, and Gilgamesh
WHERE: Inside Gil's teapot, mostly.
WHEN: Just after the mid-month zodiac post
WHAT: Sampo having Noct and Caelus come stay over while things in the city aren't so hot. Chaos probably gonna ensue.
WARNINGS: Just general nonsense of four chaos goblins in one house.
[ 'Meet me outside of Poundland' isn't exactly the best sentence to say to ANYONE, and yet it's a sentence Samuel had to use today. Thinking back on it, he really wonders why the owners of this establishment decided on fucking THAT for the name of their store, but.
It did fine for a meeting place--especially given the 'place' he was staying was hidden in plain sight in the shop nextdoor. The shop that, in Undertown, many had wonderings if it was the front of some money laundering group. Which was hilarious.
Sampo can be found waiting--looking enough like "himself" to be recognizable, but with a mix of grey and blue hair instead of his usual ruffled brown.
He'll wiggle his fingers when Caelus and Noct finally approach, before throwing his arms out wide with a bright smile. ]
My friends! You. Uh.
You weren't followed, were you.

[It is. Anyway, he’s not too pressed about it, he likes naps too much to get too mad that he gets a chance to have one. He walks into the antique shop with the rest of them, Fluvius simply chilling in his arms, and takes note of the many, many things a raccoon might be entranced by.
Then:] Caleb, step away from that. [Said with all the exasperation of someone who has been dealing with this for years.] You don’t know where that’s been.
[It…really is a teapot. Noctis has the briefest moment of wondering how that’s supposed to work before he feels a tug, and suddenly he’s standing on a grassy yard with his bags and his Oshawott blinking at—oh Jesus Christ, that’s an actual mansion. The king might’ve lived in a citadel but that’s a different life, and in this one Noctis has to take a minute to sit down on the grass.]
Weird’s one way to put it. [He’s just gonna let Fluvius go so the Oshawott can also go walking around, only Fluvius elects to wander up to Gilgamesh and give him a very inquisitive look.]
“Osha-shawott?” [said while pointing at Gil and then the mansion, as if trying to ask if he can run around it. Or waddle around it, as it were.]

[Anyway.
Caleb doesn't say much as they walk through the antique store, far too enraptured by all of the cool shit this place has to really hear anything anyone else is saying.
At least until he hears his cousin telling him not to touch the extremely cool and very old star-themed swordcane that he was totally about to touch. He tucks his hand in his pocket, the picture of innocence. He wasn't touching anything. You can't prove it.
But then they're told to close their eyes and "let the magic happen" and yeah. Yeah this is weirdly familiar and Caleb does not think he likes this feeling. He opens his eyes, half expecting to be in a weird dream world with a werewolf thing and champagne that lets him walk on walls--]
Oh, this is much better than the hotel. [Hotel? Anyway.] And we can just stay here for now?

and then he whisks his trio of raccoons and racoon-adjacent men to the world inside of the teapot and takes a moment to enjoy the sprawl. he blinks down as the little bipedal beast calls upon him, following the curious pointing of its paw with the same severity that he'd grant a curious child, folding his arms and giving a nod. ]
You have your run of the place, little one. Mind the sides of the ground that you can see--it is an island floating in a sky. You should be pulled back up to safety should you slip, but 'tis better not to test magic and its limits.
[ there's lot of stuff to climb on and several ponds for swimming and a small cotorie of gardens off to the side--all the things an Oshawott could desire to look upon as its two-legged cohorts pose questions. ]
You may. There are several bedrooms upstairs that you can make yourselves comfortable in. [ he makes his way towards the front of the mansion, nodding to the... large, round bird-in-a-teapot that's hanging out by the door, pushing open the door to permit the entrance of the people that are hopefully trailing him
(and in a testament to the King's patience, if Fluvius wants to roam around for a while longer, Gilgamesh is pulling a small statue to prop the door open so he's not forced to follow his master if he has mischief to get up to)
the mansion is decorated in an odd clash of ostentatious and grand with the occasional pocket of comfort--there's a parlor with a set of gold-and-red furniture that's definitely meant to be appreciated with the eyes and not the backside, but there's also another couch to the side by a massive TV with more than a few gaming consoles collected in the cabinets around it, as if Gilgamesh couldn't decide between living in a photoshoot and being able to sit and enjoy his stuff.
he gives a sort of 'ta-da' and leaves Sam to do the tour if he wants. ]
The kitchen's stocked and the only room I ask you to stay out of is my office upstairs. You can go into my bedroom if you truly desire, but I make no guarantee that I'll be wearing clothing.

[ he'll let it speak for itself. Gilgamesh really had it decorated in nines, and while most of the furniture probably cost more than all three of them made in a year, some of it at least. Looked. Comfortable?
Sampo's gonna watch the little Otter. Creature? Run around in the grass, towards one of those little pools, before focusing back on the trio he's with. ]
And Like I said--llllaaayered Security. Who'd think to look for our hiding place in a teapot? Inside a Devil's hoard, no less?
Until all this mess blows over, staying here is probably the safest, eh? Eh?
Hahhahah.
[ he's definitely gonna take point and bring them, first, to the sitting room. Where gil's bigass TV and entertainment system is--his own switch sitting on the table--but.
The couches looked.
Well.
...
Interesting. ]
Wanna go and pick your bedrooms?

[Fluvius gives an impatient shashawott! in response, already scampering off to play in the ponds. Noctis makes a note to himself to go outside later and check on him, but he’s generally well-behaved so Noct’s not too concerned he’ll accidentally break something he shouldn’t. Hell, he brought his pelt, maybe he ought to check out the ponds himself later.
He follows the rest into the sitting room, and oh shit that’s a lot of gaming consoles. His eyes light up at the sight of them. Oh, this won’t be such a bad stay after all.
Immediately that thought is wiped out when he puts himself down on one of the couches. Ah. This looked way more comfortable than it actually is.]
Can’t sleep on these. [He looks so tragic about it. This is clearly the worst thing that has ever happened to him on this day. But that little wrinkle aside:] Yeah, swell place this is. Thanks for the warning, I’ll stay out of your office and your bedroom. I can work down here anyway.
[In fact he’s already setting his laptop up on the table, and kind of angling it to show Gilgamesh, and Sampo and Caleb, what he’s working on. It’s a 3D model of a flying fish, stylized in a cutesy manner.]
Caleb, you go on ahead. I’ll come check out bedrooms after I put a couple finishing touches on this.
