[The Crystal Tower has been rid of traps and monsters, and the controls (hopefully) secured. However, as time passes, it seems like it's not.... going anywhere. Seems it's here to stay.

Which means the lovely people of the network have this giant freaking building all to themselves. Surely something could be done with it...]

It's bigger than most apartment buildings I've seen...

[Well. Small ones at least.]

Raha can be found any number of places within the Tower, often with a trial of books or artifacts leading to him. (There's just so much in here, ok, and there's no guarantee it's the same stuff he's used to!)

"I'm wondering if we should clear some of these rooms out," he muses, gently trying to encourage a node to go... somewhere else, "If it's actually going to stay here, it could be useful. We'll just need to get some of the tech out of the way." Especially the things he's not sure of the function of. It's probably bad, considering Allag.

Ritsuka, naturally, wants to get a proper look at this place now that it's no longer infested with monsters. Because really now a magic crystal tower? How cool is that!

But anyway.

"Maybe some of the people here can disassemble it and use it for other things?"

Surely nothing could go wrong with this plan.

[After everything with Blade was settled, Eunie took a while to rest. She couldn't afford to strain her shield arm anymore, but to prevent that it was in a temporary splint. She was fine otherwise and took to the tower since it was confirmed to have been cleared out.

Doctors really were the worst patients, huh?

Either way, she almost certainly sent word in POKEGO's chat that she was going to be looking into it and inviting the others to come poking along. Maybe conscripting two our of her three roomies.]

This place's even bigger on the inside. Any of you lot been inside here yet and spotted where we might see something useful?

[Varian absolutely came along- the siren call of poking around at magical technology was far too strong. ]

I'm pretty sure there was a pile of...well, something just before the big puzzle room.

[He casts her a worried look, eyeing that splinted arm.]

...Are you gonna be okay?

Think we oughta start there, then? Gotta be something useful around.

[As for his question, she gave a light shrug with the injured arm.]

Yeah, it's nothing major as long as I don't try lifting or shielding. I can still write stuff down or take pictures with my phone. [Varian was there in Blade's Labyrinth. He saw how much she shielded everyone and which arm she held the shield in. Knowing that, she tried her best to sound reassuring.]

I'll be fine, cross my heart.

I agree! It makes sense to work where we know there's something, then just...work out from there.

[He saw did, and he's still worried. ]

Well...I think everything dangerous is out of there now so it shouldn't be a problem. I've got uh...werewolf strength and I can set up a shield if we really need it, so just like...try to take it easy, you know? You don't need to push it. We've got time.

I will, I will, promise alright? [And you can't break a promise. Or maybe she's been around Zhongli too long and the contracts brain rot is setting in.]

Right, so let's get going. I can fly too if we need to get out of there quick or if there's something high up that might help us out later.

[Varian tenses at the word promise- because it turns out there's someone ELSE here you really can't make promises to without meaning it. He's got a little better at it these days- it's been years. But that particular pain still lingers.]

I'm holding you to that. Promises are important.

[It's fine, they're totally fine! He smiles nodding.]

Okay, works for me. Uh...sorry if I cling and scream if we... do that. My Earth powers make me weird with heights, which is super fun and helpful when you need to work anywhere high. [Thanks, elemental abilities!] Let's get in there and see what we can see. If nothing else, we can bring it back to Yuuki, he really knows the computer stuff.

[She'll stick with it, being blissfully unaware of how much an innocuous statement to her is heavy as all get out to Varian.]

It'll be fiiiiine. [Something about that was threatening. But she nonetheless headed in deeper, following Varian if need be. The problem with Eunie though? Inevitably when she sees something that they either need or that might be interesting she will run off.]

Hey, over here. [Aaand there she goes to the room before the bone dragon was fought, where puzzles needed to be solved and even more books laid around.] This what you meant? Lot of it's more tech-y than I thought, innit?

[Varian is happier for people to be unaware- he might not be secretive about his past anymore, but it's not exactly the... nicest conversation to have. He'd rather not.

And then off she fuckin' goes, just heading into the room, and Varian heaves out a sigh as he follows her. At least nothing is there to kill them- hazah. He wanders over to a pile of...stuff, nodding. ]

This is it- it's definitely more uh...technological than I'm used to, but I'm sure if I'm given a couple of hours in a lab with it, I can figure it out. I'm wondering if it'll be a mix of magic and technology, given what else is in this tower, that'd make sense, I'd think.

[Hey, Eunie's a tactless busybody but she's acquired a little bit of chill when it comes to prying. Just a smidge. She was also juuuust a bit more easy on Varian having read his Black Order report then seeing the kid himself isn't that bad after all.

No worse than Blade's stupid ass.]

If anyone's got it I know you do. I think I ran into stuff like this in my past life, but I wasn't the one who handled it back then anyway. [She knew enough technology to un-slow her laptop software that was all she needed. That said, she noticed something the more the both of them spoke. For a room as cluttered as this one was, there was more horizontal echo than there should be.]

Say, d'you hear that echoing? [Turning to the side, shouting:]

Oi! [Oi... Oi... Oi...]

Do you reckon this room goes further?

[He'd appreciate the sentiment a great deal. It's taken him a long time to accept that people can forgive him for his past- even longer to start to forgive himself. It's... nice to know that it's not as much of a dealbreaker as he once thought it was.

The praise brings a smile to his face- he's grown a lot in the time he's been here, but he still always loves having his abilities acknowledged. It's nice!. ]

Hah, thank you. You never know, something here might spark a memory for you? Stranger things have happened, right?

[He can't help but snort in amusement at the echoing ois through the space. ]

...I'm gonna guess probably? With a reverberation like that. You wanna check it out?

[And Josuke is absolutely going to be around, okay--he didn't need to be conscripted when he was concerned about that arm.]

I didn't get a chance, no. We'll just have to search this place top to bottom.

Well, top'll be real easy seeing as I can fly. [Mara didn't fuck her wings up, take that.]

Can't lift anyone else up with me, but I can tell you what I spot on the phone. Or shout real loud. [Said with the threatening tone of someone Who Will Do That.]

[Whistling innocently, a woman in comfortable clothes wandered around outside, dragging a crate on wheels behind her as she casually went towards the base of the tower.]

[...Was that a pickaxe over her shoulder?]

[Or perhaps a little later you would follow the telltale sound of metal hitting rock, only to find said catgirl examining a shard of blue crystal, chucking it into the box beside her, and adjusting her hold on said pickaxe for another swing.]
