Hi! So, you know how that weird guy in the creepy thrift store sometimes just gives you like, bags with stuff in? 'Course you do, it's a great time! You never know if you're gonna get something awesome or like. A bear. Not the fun kind. ANYhoo!! I got my usual bag-o-treats and after getting a second freaking evil notebook, like SERiously can we stop with those now? I'm never gonna steal Evil Notebook! Stop asking me to. [He's getting distracted, he clears his throat.] ANYway, along with that, I also got THIS!!!

[He pulls a baton into the frame. A baton with a gem inside it. Those in the know would recognise it as a Soul Device. Zulius, however, is not in the know, so here he is. Waving it about.]

I mean, I can FOR SURE dance with it, but!!! But!! It also does like...this? [He waves it and a blast of water shoots out of it- the water is glittery.] Also it like, vanishes into my phone??? Does anyone know what the heck this is? It's still WAY too cold for any wet T-Shirt contests so IDK why I have been blessed with this watery baton thing.

Putting aside the fact that I've no idea what a "wet T-shirt contest" is, that almost certainly looks like magic.

[Zulius knows how to say one French thing, but it's that line from Lady Marmalade- he doesn't actually know what it means, but he can say it. He very almost DOES say it. But he doesn't They are both spared this day.]

Oh my goose, okay so it's when you get dudes in really tight white T-Shirts and you...well, it's kinda self-explanatory really. You know. Wet T-Shirts. You see who has the best-defined abs with the T-Shirt clinging to them.

...I guess some people do it with women too but you'd have to ask someone else about that- that's SOOOOOO not my lane.

I figured that part out when it vanished into my phone for like, an hour. WEIRD.

It certainly is, though I'm sure you'll find plenty of use for it eventually. That's what I've come to learn with something involving magic, at least.

It's a special weapon that was used in my past world to combat spirit monsters. Soul Devices only appear for those with high spirit power, and they will take shapes that suit its wielder.

[He'll write into the notebook "where can I get good pizza right now?". Suddenly, words appear under Zulius scrawl: Kidnap a delivery person. Zulius waves his hands at it.]

See?!! See!! It keeps telling me to commit CRImes!!

It is highly magical, I can tell that, at a glance. [ thanks to... whatever it was Krusnik did to his head. ] It has a number of little charms on it in different shapes. Other than that, I have not figured it out.

[ he doesn't really mind so much, not right now--his interest is far more focused on those books and Zulius' demonstration of how they work.

he leans in as Zulius takes out a pen to show it off...

Well. Either that is a very deliberate joke, or someone truly did trap a criminal inside a notebook.

Honestly, I find it sort of charming, even if the things being said should absolutely be ignored.
