How is it the middle of the month already?

Anyway, quick update. No Zodiac had no idea about that "fishing trip" several of you went on. We've tried investigating but by the time we were aware of the issue, the realm had already disappeared. We'll continue investigating but in the meantime, we're willing to cover the cost of any trauma counselors you guys may need.

In the meantime we're still busy dealing with the usual incidents this time of year brings. We ask you, please, try to restrain openly casting magic in public areas this month. Every time it happens, we have to deal with it. If you need something to do, go visit your dead relatives or something.

Back to work. I'm already deep into overtime and I want to see my own home sometime this week. So bye.

That's the thing. Maybe it's the paranoia talking--or just the experience with my Job. But. I know how Gates work. I know that multiple gates to one world can be created, destroyed.

I'm... worried.
That perhaps the world collapsed behind us, yes. But what if it was just. One of the pocket realms they made for this sort of Entropy? A release of life and emotions to feed a greater power? A company producing goods don't usually have just one factory, you know.

I don't know much about how the spirit realm here works so I don't know for sure. But if those people could make it so that those "ancient ones" only destroyed a small dimension instead of the whole world, would they need to do the whole ritual at all?

I... don't know. Even with all my experiences with the spirit realm, I have to admit, I know less about how they work and how those who control them operate, and only that interfering with them can cause... issues.

That's why the Order exists. To protect our world from the discordance that other dimensions can cause.

Which is why I'm worried, I guess.
If this was just a one-time thing, fine, but... with how damaged the spirit vein is here...

Well we can hope that if that world was destroyed, then that means it's gone for good. If it's not, there's not much we can do about it now anyway, right?

As well as I could be.

Just... to let you know, I guess--tomorrow, me and a few others are leaving the city. We're going on a trip across the sea to Denmark, I believe, for a mission with my Order.

So do not worry too much if you do not see me in the city in the next coming of days.

...I think I need the distraction away from the city, after everything we just experienced.

Yes, she both saw the network post about that and heard it from Edward directly. And no, she didn't try to volunteer for it herself, even if the thought briefly did cross her mind.

That's the one. It involves the Order in a large way that I don't fully understand--so I don't feel like it'd be okay to sit and just watch it happen.

Loss is loss. It doesn't matter how well you knew someone, or how long. Seeing someone lose their life--it does not get easier, I personally think.
Having everyone magically return to life, too... it doesn't fix the damage caused.

i hope whatever this place decides to throw at us next... it's calm enough to let those who suffered in that domain time to let their minds and bodies heal. that includes you.

So far the only other things I've heard about this month are the festival and that spirit realm gate that's open, at least, so maybe it'll stay that way...
