So is there anyone who could use like a bunch of scrap metal type stuff? I got it from that guy with the robot but I can't do anything with it and I don't want to just throw it out...

I think some might be like broken robot parts but I'm not sure.

Oooh...maybe in that case you should see if it's salvageable for someone's metalwork first, and donate whatever remains.

How big were the robots these came from, you think?

Well they weren't like giant or anything but still big enough to cause some trouble? And mecha don't have to be giant anyway, like there's plenty of series and games where the characters pilot ones that are only a little bigger than a person, or are basically just powered armor or stuff, you know?

She shakes it off. They were just in a world full of glued together flying machines and cars, of course mecha are real. Magic is real! So are mecha!

That could definitely be repurposed if it's not too damaged then...Wait are there cables, chips and things too then?

Yeah...it's probably going to be a nightmare for someone to sort but I think that really is the best idea then. I think even the art school students would only take so much...

It sounds like there's someone who's a blacksmith who can probably use it at least.

There's probably some really neat stuff they can come up with using stuff like that- oh...though I guess if there's any color to the metal it's not going to stick in the melting process is it?

I'll take it if no one else needs it for anything important. I'm a blacksmith, and I'm still getting established around here, so I don't have a lot of scrap yet.

Varian might be interested, so I can share.

Well so far I don't think anyone else has much use for it anyway.

What kind of stuff do you do? Just blacksmith things in general or do you specialize, like in swords or something?

I do a bit of everything, but swords and spears are my specialty. Not that I've slacked off on everything else... I build things and I take them apart. Sometimes I even put them back together better.

Since I moved here I've been working on closing the gap between my mundane techniques, grounded in classical smithing as they are, and the more magical ones used by Scintilla and the others in Undertown. I haven't had the opportunity to work with reagents from the Spirit Realm until recently. That means I need exotic ore in addition to normal ore and materials, even if it means walking into the Spirit Realm. In light of that I'm working on a ground-based drone that can survey Hyrule for mineral deposits, but finding spare supplies to build the second version of my robot is proving to be a challenge. That's what I would use the scrap for.

Anyway. If you require payment, we can work something out. I can service any weapons you have, or I can make you whatever weapon you want... within reason. My enchantments aren't worth mentioning. It would be something to defend yourself with until someone's able to make you a proper magic weapon.

Oh these might be really useful for you then, since I think some of it is probably broken robot parts and stuff? I guess I can see if anybody else could use it but it doesn't sound like there's a lot of people who would.

I don't really need anything though, like I said I can't do anything with it. And I don't know enough about how to use most weapons anyway.

I have some passing familiarity with quite a few because I need to know them in order to make them, but just knowing one or two is good enough for most people. It's good to have your main specialty and then something else for emergencies.

Yeah pretty sure this is about as disassembled as you can get already.

Normally I'm not the one doing the actual fighting, and most weapons take a lot of practice to really use right, don't they? But I really don't need anything, I got it from one of those jobs on the app but it was really just extra on top of the payment for it.

They do take practice. I'm not in any position to teach anyone how to fight, and it sounds like you don't need it, so that's fine.

Aren't public art sculptures often made of scrap metal? I've always kind of wanted to try.

Oh, I guess I don't really know much about that.

Honestly, neither do I. I just like trying new things.

For the metal? It sounds like there's a blacksmith who could use a lot of it, but I didn't have anything I was thinking of for myself no.

I guess he's making some kind of drone to look for ore? But sounds like normally mostly a lot of weapons.

Yeah, and since I'm pretty sure this stuff is scrap from other robots anyway it'd probably be useful for that.

Not really, but I think a lot of people here do.

Sort of? I can't use any real magecraft myself, but if I have something like a Mystic Code with spells built in I can use that.

A Mystic Code? What's that, exactly? Like a built in magic book?

Oh it's basically just something with some sort of enchantment built into it. It could be just a protective enchantment, or actual spells like the ones I used. Those ones were made as uniforms or clothes, which meant I'd always have it on me on a mission.

No, you need to know a lot about magecraft to make something like that.

I think they can be made for anyone to use, but it probably depends on how it's made?

So, what spells do the ones you have do? I only have a magical gun.

The one I have here has spells to strengthen and heal allies. Some of the others back at Chaldea also had more defensive spells. The combination's different for each one.
