Hello, everyone. I was wondering if anyone could teach me a few things about archery? I've only been able to get so far from memory. I want to be ready, next time something awful happens. Especially if next month is as difficult as August predicted.

That aside, however... I'm toying with some other plans for the future, and, well, long story short I have some new ideas and would like taste-testers in the near future.

Archery? I could try to help out, my past self used as bow as well so I've been practicing.

Yes; I'd been wanting to be more helpful after what happened last month... Then this appeared, so I took it as a sign.

At the very least, practicing together sounds like more fun than practicing alone.

I believe so. [At least that's what her phone calls it.] You're familiar with them, then?

A little. Some friends in a past life wielded them, a couple of them might even have them here now.

I see. I presume they were rare, or special compared to other weapons?

[Most bows don't do the icy thing this one does...but maybe they do, in other worlds. Or maybe they're more akin to Devil Arms or, God forbid, the Hero's Relics.]

Both yes. Soul Device wielders were rather rare, since you need an ample amount of Spirit Power to manifest one. Not only that, but they could wield elemental power and were effective against monsters that were immune to normal weaponry.

[She nods, alright then. She'll ponder what that could mean for her later.]

In that case, I have to ask... In the realm of my past lives, Fódlan, there were certain weapons and artifacts that were...picky about who could wield them, and something terrible would happen to anyone else who tried. Is there anything like that I need to know about?

[Jun considers for a moment, scrunching his face as he thinks, but in the end nothing comes to his mind]

That... I'm not sure, I'm afraid. I wielded something different from a Soul Device, so I mostly only know the basics.

Hyrule has a mounted archery range I've been practicing at. Though, I'm not ready to try while riding yet.

Probably for the best.

Ha, I'm not either. I don't even know how to ride a horse.

I've ridden one once or twice, years ago, but hardly in any capacity to learn... Though the previous me grew quite proficient, sometimes.

I've been getting...conflicting memories. I'm the same person in all of them, but many of the details change. Some of them rather significant, to the point of being mutually exclusive.

It's extremely confusing.

Oh right, I think I remember you mentioning that with marrying Popes. It sounds confusing alright.

But at least in the case of the horseback riding, perhaps useful?

Yes, that's one of the details that changes. I'm trying to simply accept the situation for what it is.

Oh yes, very. Some of the mounts she learned to ride could fly. I can think of several ways it might suddenly be useful to have that experience.

Mm, being able to have a mount that flies would come in handy in some Spirit Realms.

It's that or try to map it all out, but I'm not quite that desperate for understanding. Not yet.

It would... The pegasi and wyverns I remember in particular. They were quite ready for danger.

Oh wow! I've seen wyvern before but never a real pegasus. I'm a little envious.

Oh hey, I have been practicing archery for some time as well ever since I got that magic bow last November and learning to use it does come in handy in a couple of times.

Maybe we can meet up in a little bit and I can help you in getting those archery skills ready for next month in no time.

I've found an archery range in Hyrule that seems ideal for practice. It's intended for horseback, I think, but it works just as well on foot.

It's nice to meet you, too. Hm, what sort of snacks do you like? Practicing is no good on an empty stomach!

Sounds good enough. I’ll going to be there whether on horse or on foot.

I would usually opt for sandwiches as a great practice snack option. Maybe some cookies as well.

Sandwiches and cookies I can certainly do. It's almost time for fave dei morti, do you like almond? I can make plenty of other cookies, too!

Oh yes, I would like to get almond cookies very much. I haven’t eaten one for a while now and I am starting to want to eat some today.

[A little giggle.] Good, good. I only have madeleines with me right now, but I can go home and bake a batch of almond. It won't take me too long.

I shouldn't need more than half an hour or so to make them. The rest is just travel time.

While I may not be able to help with the archery portion, I could help you with staff fighting, or an axe, if you're interesting. Or healing, it was my main way of helping back at home.

I have....some memories of wielding an axe, but not many. I wasn't terribly suited to it in my past life. I wouldn't mind learning a little now, though I doubt I'm any more suited to it now.

I was and am much more proficient with magic, and healing in particular. I'd like to become better at it, though - it's always good to have more healers around.

The rest.... I'm looking for taste-testers who are a little more unbiased than my siblings and boyfriend are. Do you like sweets?

Honestly, using an axe just comes with practice. [Years and years of practice for him, but that's not worth mentioning.]

Well, I can definitely help you with that. As I said, it was what I normally did back home, and I believe my healing magic has become stronger has I've been here. I, thank you Naga, haven't had a need to try it out yet.

And yes, I do like sweets, and I believe my housemates do too, if you need more blind testers.
