UN: Zodiac | There's a storm coming
WHO: Everyone!
WHERE: Libra App
WHEN: July 1st
WHAT: Zodiac Network Post
WARNINGS: None!
[As July rolls in, the Spirit Vein's rainbow spectrum gives way to hues of blues as the water element becomes more prominent. With the shift, the air becomes more humid, causing a sticky summer night. Everyone's devices will emit a soothing wind chime sound as a new Zodiac post appears. The chime will sound even if you have your phone turned off or on silent, and will not stop until you read their messsage and comment to it.]

Hu Tao has joined the app. Say hi everyone!
Cole, Heine, and Artorias have left the app.
[The post then continues on as normal.]
Hello! Thank you for using the Libra App.
We'd like to start with an apology for the brevity of the last post. The technical issue has been fixed and we've instituted a maximum puppet capacity for the Zodiac offices, so we hope we can avoid any future incidents.
Moving on, we'd like to thank you all for your efforts in assisting the residents of Oz. The Munchkin people have expressed great appreciation for all the work you did and have insisted that should the gate open up again, they'll be happy to see you all again. Regarding the creatures that some of you reported finding in the woods, our seers have discern that these are "Heartless". They are creatures made of darkness that lurk in spaces between realms. When they do manage to get into a realm through a tear, they have a penchant for consuming it entirely, so your efforts in stopping them saved not only MunchkinLand but all of Oz.
We're still investigating what caused the tear, though we spectulate it was partly due to the damage caused to the Spirit Realm's barrier by Professor Willow last year. Research is still being conducted about what we can do to amend this problem.
Finally, while July is often a rainy month in Kaisou, the seers have predicted the amount of rainfall will be higher and possibly more dangerous than usual. Please make sure to take care if you live in low areas, and do not drive through any standing water. The Zodiac office is offering free rain gear, should anyone wish to have some.
That's all for today. Stay dry!

This post sponsored by High Seas Cuisine. Sail in and try our new poke bowl selection! Arr!
[Users will have the option to choose their own display names and userpics if they haven't already. If nothing is chosen, the app will use their real name and a quick photo taken of them from their camera's phone. Atorias has been sent to another Black Order mission team. Cole and Heine will be nowhere to be found.
Like always, there'll be no responses from Zodiac.
OOC Note: If you haven't responded to AC, you still have until 11:59pm EST tonight to do so! Once you do, you'll be removed from this post. ]

Why is it every day I'm here, I learn something new I never wanted to know?

i've been to the end of the universe
no subject
okay, but that's still kind of horrifying
you can at least understand why i think spectral darkness given form and existing beyond the veil is horrifying right
no subject
nothing sells "the end of the universe is hopeless and inevitable" like taking a tour through a bunch of worlds that got eaten by the personification of nihilism and now only exist as ghosts
but if you looked past the cosmic horrors it was really pretty sometimes
no subject
i do not envy any of you the absolute madness you've clearly endured.
no subject
anyway these heartless things sound like they could be a problem in other places too
it sounds like tears might be getting worse?
no subject
anyway. that's probably going to end up being our problem too, and i don't know about anyone else but i can say i'm not terribly versed in 'repairing damaged walls between realities'.
no subject
me neither. that's sorcerer stuff. i don't cast spells, i hit things
when this was an issue before we just hopped into the rift, killed a big nasty looking monster, and then the thing closed up on its own
but uhhhh i feel like that may not be an option for the bigger ones
no subject
worst part is, it didn't look like those heartless were all that responsive to physical attacks. 'hit things' is unfortunately only going to carry us so far in that regard even if it is the desirable course of action.
no subject
ok i maybe wasn't specific about the no spells thing, i am not a mage or a sorcerer but i know a little bit of paladin magic
i don't think casting swords on the rifts is gonna help though

that's what i do best!!!

for a given value of 'fun' where i actually mean the opposite of that.

It seems like every time something “could” happen in this accursed place, it eventually does. Might as well get ahead of it while we still can. We know Zodiac won’t help.

We simply make a force to have on standby. If the heartless show up in the city, they should be ready to move.

We need a better plan than "hoping someone on the app has the power to solve it".
no subject
We find the people who have the ability to track monsters and have them assigned to different sections of the city. Then, when something inevitably does happen, we aren't running around like a chocobo with our head cut off.
no subject
So let me see if I understand this: you expect people with sensing ability to remain confined to an area of a city block, essentially trapping them and make them unable to live normal lives. And you also want them to remain vigilant 24/7, so go without sleep, just in case they sense something.
Is that what you're asking of us?
no subject
They’d have those assignments in case something happens. For example, if someone sees a heartless in the city, they check the rest of the city. I’m not asking them to check now, nor am I asking them to be confined to a city block.
no subject
[Well good to clear that up]
If we have nothing else, perhaps we can try that. But I think we should probably look into something more reliable.
no subject
I'm sure whatever this world chooses to throw at us, it won't be what we expect.

On a rainy day, it's hard to beat a good book. Either a new one or an old favorite!

[Yeah, that was a lie, Rren was having trouble not thinking about it.]
My favorite activity for rainy days is going for walks and splashing in the puddles like a little kid. Or curling up on the couch and playing video games with the blinds open. Depends on my mood that day.
[Luckily being more feline than they once had been had not dampened their love of storms.]
