Another day, another mission. At least this one was just dealing with a monster of the non-human variety, so Velvet was hoping it'll help get her mind off of how the last mission turned out.

Tonight her team was Eunie and Lapis. She was driving her black minivan, with her Taylor Swift playlist going. Her eyes are focused on the road as she drives through the unfamiliar neighborhood.]

Eunie, what's the mission ojbective again?

[She had already glanced through it before they embarked, but it's good to go over it once again]

[Okay... okay, so it's late. It's her 22nd birthday. The tattoo on her chest went completely grey and a skeleton showed up at her place to give her a notebook but she already agreed to help on this mission.

She's here, in a van, still alive. She's still fucking alive no part of her has faded, she's still. Here.

Clearly on edge about something, but still here. Less so considering for all of the shit Velvet says sometimes, Eunie likes her. She doesn't bullshit. And Lapis seems okay if she can handle Ayato's annoying ass. So here she was, leaning casually in her seat legs crossed wide and flipping through her new notebook with a four leaf clover bookmark right onto their objective.]

They're wanting us take care of a "house spider", apparently. Must be a real big fucker if they're calling us, innit? Like an Arachno or something, hate those things.

[ Eunie being on-edge has been noted, but Lapis doesn't say anything - hopefully this mission will be enough to distract her from whatever is bothering her.

Instead she had kept her eyes on the window next to her, watching the passing scenery before perking up when Velvet speaks; Lapis glancing between the two woman for a moment before humming lowly. ]

An Arachno...? [ Well, that sounds Not Good. But surely it shouldn't be anything too bad, right? A spider is a spider, even if it's. Big. ]

Mmhm, though if it's big not sure why they're calling it a "house spider"... Either it's really big or it can do something nasty.

[Velvet isn't stupid, she can tell something's been off about Eunie this month. But she's also not one to really pry about it unless necessary. If Eunie opens up, sure. Otherwise, it's not Vel's business. ]

It's gotta be either of those if they're calling in us instead of an exterminator. Maybe it's taken over their house?

Whatever, at least we know it's a spider. Aim for the legs first.

Yeah, Arachnos. They were like... big spiders. Really big, bigger than a house. [lol. lmao even. you may even go as far as to say rofl.

The fact Eunie was lifting her arms to demonstrate the Big part didn't really help the frightening mental image it gave.]

Roger. Who's to say how big the bugger is till we get there, but I got good aim.

[ And here's Lapis, watching Eunie lifting her arms and looking... almost unsure. Look, she's not scared of a lot of things but massive spiders are still Uncomfortable.

It's the long legs okay. ]

Mmm... I guess it's a good thing I have a weapon with a fire element now. [ If in doubt, attempt to light it on fire. ]

At least if it's big, the legs will be easy to get to.

[Velvet meanwhile looks mostly indifferent. She's never really been that scared of bugs, though it's not like she was into them either. Instead she's just going to focus on the battle plan]

Right. Then I'll try to distract it while you two take out the legs with fire and gunshots.

[She turns into the street that the address is on]

Should be coming up the house soon.

[A non-committal gesture was given towards the plan, but naturally Eunie was gonna follow it. Not like it was complicated, when in doubt bash 'em.

As they pulled up further into the street though, Eunie spotted something uh. Amiss.]

Uhhh... [Don't mind as she rolls the window down and pokes her head out.] ... 's that house fuckin' moving?

[ Meanwhile there's a hum in agreement from Lapis; it was simple enough, so she had no problems with it.

The issue, however, is what Eunie spots as they get approach. So she'll just be following her example, and poking her head out the other window. ]

Oh, it is! I can also see some - [ Cue some squinting as they get closer. ] - Giant webs too, in the back.

[ Pause. ]

The spider is the house, isn't it.

[As Eunie and Lapis point that out, she'll hit the brakes of her van. She'll then reverse and move to park the van away from the spider house.]

What the fuck?

How does a spider become a house?

"House spider" my arse, you gotta be fucking kidding me! [Once the van is parked, Eunie summons her Gunrod and uses the scope to gauge just what the fuck they're dealing with.]

Bastard's got a whole eight legs and everything, someone screwed up the message board big time.

So it's more like a "spider house" instead. Maybe it was the house itself that was changed. Or it's some kind of hunting tactic... [ She squints some more, before shifting to sit back down. ]

Is there anything in its webs, Eunie? [ Aka does it have any victims they need to worry about. ]

[Velvet meanwhile is swearing under her breath as she parks the car and kills the engine. Reaching under her seat, she'll get her wrist blades and start to put them on. ]

I'll say. But between the three of us, we should still be able to handle it.

[It'd be better if they had MORE members to help out, but at least all three of them were pretty capable on their own]

I'll be damned if I'm gonna lose to a big ugly spider house. [She trailed off, groaning under her breath.]

Fuck me, can't make this easy huh? There's people in those webs. We gotta find a way to get them out too.

So long as the webs aren't reinforced, we should be able to break them.

[ Though who knows considering they're facing a house that's actually a spider. ]

Should one of us focus on getting those people out?

[Could Velvet leave those people to their fate? It's debatable, honestly. But she knows Eunie would want to save them, and she rather not deal with Eunie yelling at her, so....]

Yeah. I can use my claw and blades on it. My guess is it'll be slow work though, so you two will have to keep the spider off me.

[Damn right she would, they can save people and do violence. They all have two hands, you see.]

You got it. Bastard's house sized but he still got legs to aim for.

Right. "The bigger they are, the harder they fall" and all that.

[ Time for violence and rescuing people!

Plan decided, Lapis will hop out of the minivan - taking the moment to summon her chain whip. ]

I could go in first, and draw its attention to me.

Alright. I'll watch for your signal. Don't die.

[She'll slip out of the car and transform into a crow. She'll flutter her wings up to the hood of the car. Better to keep a low profile while Lapis does her bait thing]

Right behind you, Lapis. [If she's taking the front line Eunie will stick with the Gunrod and keep them patched up. She can pull out the twin guns anytime but hey strategy or something? Who knows she's just here to shoot.]

[ Cue a thumbs up from Lapis, before she makes her way down the street. ]

If this kills me, you guys can absolutely laugh at my dead body.

[ Seriously though, being killed by a spider house would be an embarrassing way to go -

But anyway, time to be a distraction. She'll summon her companion as well to help with that; a bigger than average, shadowy raven ~~to complete the bird theme of the group~~ to hover by her side as she approaches the house. Since she has fire, now's the best time to use it - flicking her wrist so the whip sends an arc of flame at the house.

And yep, that's pissed it off. The raven flies underfoot to disorientate a little as it brings itself up on its legs, while Lapis decides to test how much fire resistance this thing has. It's enough to draw its focus to her, for now at least, attempting to angle it away from the poor people stuck in those webs and the other women. ]

[Well that's quite the show.

Velvet meanwhile, in her much smaller bird form, will take the chance to fly around and hopefully head to the back of the house. Hopefully Lapis can keep up the distraction until she gets there]

Hey, could stand to have more trust in my healing. [She's joking obviously but what added to the joke was that she was behind Lapis and in her hands one Rifle turned to two Hand Guns as she started pelting the gigantic spider legs with bullets.

Get's the son of a bitch away from the people it's trapped but she's just as quick to swap back to her Rod if anyone here takes a hard hit.]
