a tentative reaching-out (network; un: nina)
WHO: Nina Lora and anyone.
WHERE: On the network.
WHEN: February 28, afternoon.
WHAT: She's been here for a week and is just now getting to making herself known.
WARNINGS: currently n/a, will edit to add if anything somehow comes up
[Nina had spent most of the past several days trying to get herself situated, which was a bit of a task considering she had been in no way prepared for a situation like this. Fortunately, someone had taken notice and did offer her a place to stay while she was here, in exchange for her starting to do some bits of work here and there after she got herself settled in. She has no idea what sort of work they meant, but since she didn't see many other options for what to do, she accepted.
So now she's in a little apartment, with really only the essential stuff that was already in there to begin with.
It was also recommended to her that she try putting something on the network so she could start meeting some of the other people here. She initially was unsure about doing so, but ultimately, she's decided to go ahead and do it; it's preferable to in-person meetings, anyway.]
If you're able to see this, hi. My name's Nina and I, er, arrived here a little over a week ago. [The way she emphasizes 'arrived' makes it seem pretty clear that that was not her first choice of word for that.] And apparently I'm far from the first person something like this has happened to? So um, if anyone has any advice for a relative newcomer, I guess I'm all ears.

I won't have to worry about those too much, at least not for now. Probably won't be spending too much time outside until it starts getting warmer.

Then it sounds like you've got things figured out.

Might have to stay indoors most of the time until the season ends, but I'm used to being stuck inside all the time anyway, so that's not a huge deal.

Yeah. It's not really ideal weather. Do you have things to help stay warm?

[Though, Nina's definition of "really bad" weather may differ a bit compared to most others.]

[ She can only guess, really. But with it moving into March (geez already?), the weather should start getting better. ]
