[In the latter half of May, with college finished, Jun can be found around Kaisou either doing odd jobs as his college-campus coffeeshop hours get cut, or preparing for his apprenticeship for POKEGO. If you want to do a thread with him, feel free to hit me up on plurk or the game discord! ]

Mm. This way. [He started moving out. A click of a trigger on his Gunblade, readying aetherial carts. Around him a golden aura accompanied the switch, subtle enough to not be blinding to his ally but bright enough to keep all eyes on him.

He didn't seem surprised at how massive Shroud's sword was compared to him but then again he wasn't a very emotive man in general.

He was in mission mode so not much of a talker as he pushed on save for the occasional warning of an obstacle.]

Mind your footing. [He said cutting down any vines that'd trip them up and more out of habit. He had the feeling Shroud was the last person he needed to warn about anything.]

Alright.

[Jun will follow after Takame quietly. Since he's also on mission mode, he's got little interest in chatting but rather focusing on what he can sense. Which it is helpful to have Takame focus on the vines, so he can stay ready for the attacks.

A few skeletons come around a corner. But before they can charge at them, Jun will summon a few arrows of light that hover in the air before flying at them. They slam into the skeletons, exploding upon contact]

[It was good he had Shroud to rely on. He sensed them coming, but having a user of ranged attacks quelled them faster than his Lightning Shot did. Small fry like them quickly faded with the light arrows, but more came at them from other sides.]

Eyes on me. [Was said to provoke them into focusing on him as a circular slash cut through the swathes that Shroud could not take out.]

[The provoke works, as the undead horde all turn their attention on Takame to attack him. Jun meanwhile will teleport away, reappearing behind the horde]

Shield!

[He'll yell at Takame before his sword glows and he releases a massive swing from behind, which sends a shockwave of light energy out to cut through the wave of enemies on Takame]

Mm!

[The sole acknowledgement, but Takame saw the idea. A click of the trigger and a cartridge spent, a layered crystal-like shield enveloped him with more than enough time to ensure Shroud's attack would only damage the enemy ranks instead of him.

Sure enough, they fell in no time to the powerful slash with Takame no worse for wear, save for being a few steps backwards to dull the blow.]

My thanks. [He took a moment to scope the surrounding area, seeing nothing in immediate proximity.]

... I believe we may proceed, unless you sense something I cannot.

[Jun is a little relieved to see that the shield held out. With the monsters slain, he glances around to make sure he's not sensing any others in the immediate area.]

...No threats within fifty feet. We may proceed.

Understood. [His shields have withstood massive bursts of Aether. He would not be a tank worth his salt if he didn't have the capability to block, though he knew had the attack been specifically targeted he would need to be more careful.

Shroud was on his side, luckily. He proceeded onwards, picking up the pace a little as he would rather get this done quickly. Indeed, with his keen sight and memory not a single time did they get caught at a dead end but as they got closer to the core of the maze, he noticed something.

Namely the skeleton flying overhead.]

Above. [Said aiming his blade skyward, ready to take a shot.]

[Jun keeps moving along with him, managing to keep up with Takame's pace. It's a good thing that Takame is good with the directions, since Jun would probably struggle more with that.

But when a skeleton starts flying by, he knows what to do]

On it.

[He'll immediately teleport, reappearing again in the air near the skeleton. Without any hesitation, he'll swing his blade down on the monster, slicing it in half while he hovers in the air.

He teleports back down to the ground as the skeleton's bones rain upon them]

[A neatly aimed Lightning Shot made the flying Skeleton's chances worse as it was sliced in two and blown to bits. Between the two of them it would have been smarter for it to run for its life. Afterlife? Yes.]

Hm. [What bones threaten to bonk him on the head are knocked away with his weapon. That was underwhelming.

He nodded to Shroud, lowering his weapon for now but not putting it away.]

... Let us proceed. I don't think our objective is far.

[Jun will give a nod, brushing off some bone pieces that fell on his uniform]

Very well.

[He goes quiet as they continue, but he can't help but eventually voice]

I can't understand why this package would draw the interest of the undead.

Nor can I. I did not think to question it at the time of taking this assignment.

[An aggravated twitch of his tail.]

I have a bad feeling about whatever it holds. [He was more than willing to find out what was in the bloody thing, but he didn't say that part aloud.]

[He can't blame Takame for not questioning it, he didn't exactly have loads of questions either. But with the amount of undead involved with this...]

We should examine what the contents hold. I don't want to hand over anything that'd make things worse for the city.

[He's already made that mistake before. Never again]

Agreed. If it is attracting the undead in such numbers, it may connected to strong magic. [He was using the logic of his realm, voidsent being drawn to sources of Aether, but it was still a possibility.]

Most likely. The dead aren't usually this lively, in my experience.

[Is. Is that a joke? it's really hard to tell with his tone]
