Hello. Thank you for using the Libra App.

Happy Mother's Day. If you don't know what is, it's a holiday where you're supposed to honor your mom and-- oh who am I kidding most of you read like people with parental issues. Not judging, I'm gonna spend the day thinking about my mom who told me I should find a more stable job instead of being an artist and now I'm here at this great job. So...do whatever gets through the day. I know I am. Also there's a holiday for father's next month, so prepare for that one too.

Anyway I don't have anything really to report. They're still treating us decently here. And it's still weird. Just thought I'd leave a message so you guys didn't assume I died again.

I wish. As I hate to admit it, despite a year of dealing with all this my therapy sessions still are mostly about my father issues.

I didn't know there were holidays to celebrate your parents like this. It's... kind of sweet, if you ask me.

She wasn't my biological mother, but she raised me as if she was. She isn't with us anymore, ...but.

She was the most beautiful person in the world.

Someone I went to college with once told me that the greatest gift he intended to give his parents was the trauma they gave him, tenfold.

I forgot about how new (or 'new') users get announced on this thing and I kind wish that those announcements weren't a thing.

[Kat already announced her presence on the network the day the app (re)appeared to her, so Zodiac doing it too is kind of redundant. That and if she hadn't already done so, she would have wanted to do it on her own terms so Zodiac going and pointing out that she was there would have been an annoyance either way.]

Did she have hobbies or things she enjoyed doing when she was around? Take today to engage in something she enjoyed.

My mother is a nice woman and a great cook. I haven't spoken to my parents for over ten years, though. Sometimes you become invisible to everyone you know, and then you get declared missing and legally dead.

Anyway, if they're still around and not terrible people, call your mother or whoever raised you and ask how their day went. Being able to talk to them is one of those things that's easy to take for granted.
