[People at the Arcadia Apartments might notice something out of the ordinary today.

Namely, an unusual-looking duck, with little pink and purple birdy boots to presumably protect her feet from the pavement outside.

When the duck notices someone looking, she will perk up a bit and quack a greeting. The nearby human with a suitcase looks up from his phone and over to the duck.]

Pearl, what's-- [He looks up.] Oh. Hey.

5/14; video
[The video opens up in the courtyard of the Arcadia Apartments, to a young man. There's a Quaxly sitting next to him, currently occupied with a large cup of water.

The young man grins a bit, then lifts his hand in greeting.]

Yo! The name's Josuke Higashikata. Or, uh, Zelkova, if you've really gotta be formal about stuff with POKEGO. Which, uh, yeah, that was gonna be my next thing. I'm a member of POKEGO who specializes in studying how to treat magical afflictions. I'm gonna be studying medicine properly, too, of course. So, uh, if you're around Kaisou U, there's a chance we might run into each other when classes start up again!

It's good to meet all of you, and I hope we can get along.

you know, I was gonna say it doesn't feel like there's a lot of us but then I remembered we were sending people to help out with the magic college, so I guess there is a few of us here now, huh

Shepard did mention a few names coming to assist in that. I'm looking forward to what I'm hoping will be a worthwhile endeavor for all involved.

out of the ones being sent, Professor Rowan's the only one I've got any personal experience with, but I've heard good things about the other two
sounds like it'll be pretty great, I'll have to pop in and check it out sometime

He also mentioned I'd be likely to get along with Rowan, though I get the feeling that says more about me than I might like to admit.

pretty well, yeah! I still need to get way more familiar with the city but I've got plenty of time for that
I was a little worried about how Pearl (the duck in the video) would deal with the trip but she handled it pretty well
and it seems like she likes it here so far

[Well, that was a funky looking duck. And it noticed him, so he squatted down a bit to get on the duck's level.]

You must be one of those Pokemon I've been hearing about...

[He looks up at Josuke]

And you must be its... trainer?

Yeah, something like that.

[He grins a bit.]

Her name's Pearl, and she's what's called a Quaxly.

Another POKEGO member?

[Sure seems to be a number of them. At least this one seems to have more social skills than the last two...]

I'm a healer, too. I didn't study that officially, though; it's part and parcel of being a nature spirit. I can purge most poison with my magic, but for just about anything else I think I'll have to depend on your expertise.

You have no idea how much trouble these kids get into. [He says this fondly, knowing none of them are children, but.] It'll be good to split the work should something go catastrophically wrong, hahah.

[Incredible? He's not so sure-- there's a tiny bit of a blush...] W-well, if I couldn't purge impurities, I'd be a terrible water seraph. It's really not that special.

Anyway, tell me about your technique. Is it based in traditional medicine? Is it alchemy or spoken magic, or is it something else?

[He laughs a bit.]

Well, it's pretty incredible to me, since I can't really do anything like that.

As for my technique, it's an ability my past self had, called a Stand--kind of a personification of the user's psyche or life energy or fighting spirit, I've heard all three used, as far as I understand it, and each one as different as the person using it. Mine's called Crazy Diamond and it can heal people through touch. I'm still feeling out the exact upper limits for myself, but it's pretty powerful. The biggest downside is I can't use it on myself.

[Which, like, he has to be careful anyway, so. Extra incentive for that!]

[Considering the bullshit that's happened the past few months, when Eunie sees a strange looking duck on a trip to check out Arcadia's gardens she barely bats an eye.

You know aside from smiling because it's cute, how could she not!]

She broke into a grin herself, huffing out a little chuckle.]

Son of a bitch, I wasn't expecting to see you here either. It's been years, mate, how've you been?

I've been doing great! Finally figured out what I'm doing with myself after all this time. What about you?

No shit? [She did briefly hesitate at the question, still more than a little pissed off at what had happened last month and what's about to happen next with the Order.

Well, found somethin' well paying and stable I can say that much. [She shrugged, but she didn't hide that whatever she was talking about was not her favorite thing in the world.]

Ahaha... well, it's more of that "being sent where I can help out" but I am planning on sticking around way longer this time--I'm gonna be entering Kaisou U in the fall for pre-med.
