[ the feed opens a young man frowning at the screen. while not wholly unknowledgable about technology he is by no means skilled in removing unwanted apps that frankly do not want to be deleted. it seems he has been fighting this fight for a hot minute and unknowingly hit the video function. xiao exhales, defeated, before blinking rapidly in surprise.

If there is anyone skilled in the removal of unwanted applications seek me out. [ how are they going to do that, xiao?? ] My own efforts in removing this have done very little.

I..um. I'm not from this world. There's a couple people like me here. The Spirit Vein...I don't know, scooped us up from our homeworld and dumped us here. I'd never experienced a place like this in my whole life before turning up here.

[ he is silent for a moment, eyes closing as he seemingly takes in varian's words as seriously as he possibly can. it is... difficult to believe but -

another world. another - an image flashes across his eyes, a blonde figure with flowers decorating their hair, a sword in their hand, and some sort of floating fairy beside them. he sees her falling. xiao's brow furrows before relaxing as the image passes. ]

I... I see. [ what was that just now? his eyes open again, glancing back at the phone. ] Are they others like you?

[Varian knows the weird look people get when they tap into a past memory- he's seen it in Danny countless times. He knows better than to press, though.]
