Erm...is this some kind of phishing or crypto scam? Because you're really wasting you're time if it is, I'm broke. If you need proof, I can show you my cupboard of ramen and eggs.

[He sighs, muttering to himself anxiously]

[He clears his throat, composing himself (and pushing his beer can off screen). He has to be more presentable to his students!]

What about you? How long has this been going on? Are you okay?

About...two weeks? Ever since...Valentine's Day.

[You know, the day he was wandering around school with a box of birthday cupcakes his neighbor somewhat forcibly gave him.]

From what I understand it's been gong on a few weeks longer than I've been involved, and... [He can be honest with his teacher.] ....saying I'm okay would be a stretch, but I'm not hurt, or anything.

[That's a long time!! Just how many other students have been roped into this? Forget himself, he's concerned for them. ]

Not...exactly on this app specifically. Have you looked at the sky, since you got the app?

[Deep breath] You know how there are books about entire communities and secret worlds that are aware of magic and such, and they exist under the notice of regular society, which carries on unaware?

Technically no, it's that you'll see what was always there and you simply didn't notice it before.

The short version is that....the world is like that. The supernatural is real, and there's a whole community that's been aware of it and keeping it secret. Evidently most of the world simply rationalizes away any strangeness until it seems perfectly mundane.

[He is not actually crying, there's just limited icon material. But, you know, existential crises. It's fine.]

Seriously? That really does sound like one of those books...

[Ha, not yet, this is still public and he hasn't even spotted the iceberg yet.]

More or less exactly like it. Like seeing an old ruin too dangerous to go near, where there's really a thriving magic castle. That kind of thing.

[But. That last question gives Jun pause. His next words are quiet, but very clipped.]

That's what's scaring me. I don't know. It just happened, and somehow Zodiac knew the moment it did.

[Oh he can pick up on that tone, and Jun admitting he's scared. So he'll try to reassure the kid.]

Hmm....there must be some reason for it, but it might be best we don't worry ourselves too much over it until we know more.

For now, let's just try to get used to all this new stuff, ok? One step at a time.

[Jun doesn't do well with mysteries or unanswerable questions. He likes being able to work toward a solution. But this is so much he doesn't even know where to start.]

The best case scenario is Libra was already on our phones, and we just didn't notice it until now, just like we didn't notice the lights in the sky or anything else. The worst...they somehow have a means to tell when someone becomes aware, and send the app without permission.

There's a lot to get used to.

[ ....oh boy. Elliot is much less fazed by what Jun is proposing since honestly, he's already pretty used to advertisers collecting a scary amount of private information. The scenario of what Jun's proposing just feels like an extension of that. He probably shouldn't mention that to Jun though right now]

I was talking more about the supernatural stuff rather than Zodiac and Libra. I mean, I think "magic is real" is a bigger deal than some app, wouldn't you say?
