Goodness, there's so many people from the Black Order on here now!

[Souta sounds so cheerful about it. He smiles brightly. Meanwhile a little pink face peers out near the corner of the screen.]

Welcome to Libra! It's nice to meet all of you.

I had always hoped our two groups would be able to get along one day. I'm sure there's still a long way to go, but I like to think this a good step forward. Not everyone on here trusts Zodiac that much, [understatement] so even if you don't agree with them, we can still find some common ground. And despite their odd sense of humor, I'm sure Zodiac are glad to have you here as well!

[He means that network post...]

[The pink creature has been getting closer and closer as he talks, their face now taking up the entire screen, softly whispering "Kyuuuuu..."]

Ah. Kyupi, could I have that back?

[Souta scoops up the phone so he's holding it higher, an indignant "Kyupi!" heard as the screen moves.]

Ah, well, I'm not really sure about "getting along," really, considering some of us here, but I know I'm going to do what I can to help.

[... Excuse him as he moves his phone out of the way of an overly curious orange cat.]

At any rate, it's good to meet you, too.

I think we both have some colorful personalities in our group. As long as we do what we can, I'm sure they'll see the good in teaming up eventually.

[Souta has faith in them. ...Somehow.]

[He smiles at the greeting.]

I'm Souta Suzukaze. What's your name?

[Those in the Black Order might recognize the name from the Land of the Forgotten memos. One of the soccer players that teamed up with Artorias. The living team.]

[Colorful feels like an understatement...

He's read those memos, though, so there is a brief flicker of recognition.]

Patrizio Fugo. I'm a student in addition to working for the Black Order, so it's possible you'll see me around a fair bit besides on the app.

[Hi Souta, have some scary and intense looking lady looking at this post with heavy skepticism.]

Is Zodiac hiring kids now?

[She is rather intimidating looking, but that wouldn't normally scare Souta off immediately. However, something about her appearance brings back a flash of memory of a different dark-haired lady, along with an intense feeling of dread.]

[Shaken, Souta tries to carry on.]

W-well, I wouldn't say I was hired. The app just showed up one day.

[Velvet meanwhile thinks nothing of Souta's reaction. She gets that reaction so often that it doesn't even faze her.]

Right, like it did for most of the people on here.

But you're the one rolling out welcome wagon and telling us all to get along.

Well you did just get here, and it would be nice if we could all be friends...

[He flinches, quickly backtracking.] ...Or! At least help each other, since we're all here!

[Velvet raises her eyebrow]

You sure about that? You seem just about ready to faint.

[Oh no, she could see the fear! His expression is a mix of ashamed and terrified.]

[Maybe he should just... stop talking.]

[She sighs. Normally she'd just leave it but he is a kid so....]

Relax. I only eat people who are a threat or cause problems.

[Eat people...?! T-That isn't comforting at all!]

[She did tell him to relax, so he's trying, he really is, but...]

S-so the cannibal talk... it's not just rumors?

It's true. I eat people.

Um... Can I ask why?

Why? So you can find some rose colored lens to make it all seem not so bad?

No. I eat people. That's all you need to know.

[He was more perplexed as to why anyone would eat people. ...And yes, maybe it was partly him trying to figure out some common ground, but not intentionally!]

[He deflates immediately back into fear.]

[ Is she being a little cruel? Probably. But better this kid learn now that there are some scary people exists than later.

[He swears he isn't that naive! He knows bad and scary people exist! Maybe. Probably.]

[That aside, he takes a nervous sigh of relief. Now he can disengage and try not to ponder too deeply about who that other lady he saw was. The one from his memory.]

[To perhaps no surprise, Suzume is rather oblivious about this whole Black Order deal, but that IS a cute friend.]

A kitty....

[She wants to hold it...] Um...why don't they make kitty sounds..?

[The creature promptly climbs up on Souta's shoulders, lifting a second pair of floppy ears up with its paws. (Why it has two pairs of ears is a mystery).]

["Kyupi! Kyu pipi!"]

I think they're actually a rabbit. [Not... that it makes rabbit sounds either.]

I don't know. That's just how they talk!

I don't know what sounds rabbits make...

[It's not that, but she doesn't know this, so she just blinks.] So, rabbits go 'kyupi kyupi'..?

Umn, what do rabbits eat?

No... Rabbits mostly are quiet, but they make little noises that sound like squeaks or grunts.

[He knows personally, thanks temporary animal curse.]

I'm not sure why this one makes these sounds.

They eat plants! Greens, vegetables, and grass make good snacks for rabbits.

Ohhhhhh... [Well that sounds sort of boring.]

Maybe they're um...a special rabbit? Like how Muuland is a special dog...

[Almost got it?]

Oh!! Do they like fruit things too? Like apples? Haha could make apples look like rabbits.

Well, I don't know how special Kyupi is, but I'm pretty sure they're from my past. That makes them pretty special to me.

They do, though a little fruit goes a long way for a rabbit.

[Again, personal experience.]

Do you mean usagi ringo? I haven't had them in a long time.

Umn!! Anything is special if its yours, that's how it works..!!

[Probably? Probably.]

Yeah..! Bunny apples...

...umn. They don't know how to make them here....

[Souta wants to hear her theory before giving his own.]

Yeah, bunny apples don't seem to be common in the States.

Hmm... Do you want some?

[He doesn't know how to cook really, but that's one thing he might be able to do.]

[Suzume, of course, nods.] If it's a thing that's yours, then...then it's important, all the time..!

[She's accumulated a lot of clutter unsurprisingly.

There are more important things to think about though, and she gasps.] ....You can make bunny apples..!?

That's right. When it's yours, you care for it, right? If you hold something close in your heart, anything can become a treasure.

[He might have much clutter, but Souta cares a lot for what he has.]

Hm...

I think so. I haven't had bunny apples in quite a while, but I know how they're made.

[He used to watch as his grandparents made them.]

[Half of Suzume's things are apparently in a Very Safe Place for Later, or so she's been told. ~~Gacha, stop giving her weapons...~~

In any case she's very excited.] Umn, um...do you know, do you know where to bring them..?

[~~Why does the child have weapons~~]

Well, no. Do you have a meeting place you'd like me to bring some?

[~~Zodiac put them in a safe because of that exact question.~~]

[She disappears offscreen, presumably to get crayons and paper.]

[Umm... She's very young to be sharing addresses on her own...]

Are you sure you don't mind me visiting? We meet somewhere public if you'd prefer.

[She's very sure!!!

Oh wait this is one of those 'where are your parents' situations isn't it.] Umn....I can ask nanny though, just in case...

[Is that what she's supposed to say. Is that it? She seems to be watching the screen for cues here.]

[Look, he's young and she's even younger. He just wants to make sure it's all right.]

[Souta looks relieved, and then smiles.]

If she says yes, then that's fine!

You'll be one of the soft-hearted ones I was told about, then.

I wouldn't count on anyone being glad to have us here. I expect we're about as welcome as a piece of LEGO under a bare foot.

But if that offer is genuine, then I'll be sure to keep it in mind.
