[Another shake of her head. She's frowning a little now as she starts to work on the pumpkin as something to focus her mind around the questions that she's being asked.]

It was as if I hadn't been gone at all.

[And maybe that's the most disconcerting part, after finding herself back here again. She had all of the memories from being here when she returned, but while she was gone... Maybe it was better that way because no one would have believed a word of it, but that doesn't make her feel any less unsettled about the idea.]

It might not be the same for everyone, but that's how it was for me. Maybe someone else who has gone and come back again would tell you something different.
