prontissimo: (mi dispiace)

[ Alberto holds his awkward smile to receive that compliment, but can't hold eye contact. On the one hand, he can't disagree with that Bruno and Luisa and Pepa all must be good judges of characters, of course that's factual... buuut "very" good boy might be a stretch, in his eyes. He's still not fully shed the image of himself as the troublemaker his father'd often painted him as; and whether it's wholly accurate or not anymore, despite his best intentions to behave well these days (largely out of respect for Bruno), he's very aware it's Julieta's brother who's gonna be the one left signing detention slips. Hearing her put faith in Alberto right off the bat that he must be a "very good boy," as kindly an assumption as it is, makes him feel some kinda way — like he's even more determined to make sure it's true. ]

Aha... Well, I sure try, signora...

[ But that reaction alone is telling enough... It's not him being humble. It's him being worried. Julieta wasn't there for the "Please don't jump" discussion in Bruno's tower — Pepa's poor frazzled nerves... ]
