She was a little surprised by how nice that smile was, to see. Human interaction hadn't featured much, outside of...well, very few people, who were more her family than anything, in any event. Surrogate family, really.

"Oh, it's absolutely just absurd how things go. Either it's people who're totally familiar with it, or the people who have absolutely no idea that anything is out of the ordinary. Took me a while to get to where you are, but when I showed up? Giant reptiles all over the place."

As for the latter, she waved it away.

"And I was a military pilot...well, before a lot of things. It makes it a lot easier. Lift is lift, drag is drag. At least with this I don't have to watch for engine over-heat."
