WHO: Rhel and the network
WHERE: The network
WHEN: Early July
WHAT: So. Someone got a sunburn.
WARNINGS: None atm

[Rhel sounds utterly miserable when she starts this recording.]

Ah--what tonics or creams are used here for sunburn? It seems the lotions available here aren't strong enough or otherwise not meant for someone quite as pale as I am.

[Ow.]

And if someone could tell me where one might purchase a decent parasol, that would be likewise appreciated.

[Elliot texts a list of heavy duty sunscreens]

Here, these are the brands I use. Hopefully they'll be enough to prevent more sunburn.

Oh no, are you already sunburned? You should try some aloe vera, it's really soothing!

I'd also heard cat licks can be helpful? I know that sounds weird, but I'd heard that!

[Read it. On the internet. He's too gullible. At least the aloe vera advice is accurate!!]

Since nobody's answered the parasol part yet, here!

[And there's some incoming links for a variety of parasols.]

Aloe vera should help soothe the burns, though it can also help to spread some yogurt over them - it creates a seal so they won't be aggravated by the air. Over the counter painkillers can relieve the pain but won't do much for the burn itself. For the future, find a sunblock - not suntan lotion or tanning oil - with the highest SPF number you can find. If you're particularly fair-skinned you'll want 60 or higher, and definitely nothing below 30, but the higher the better.

If the burns are too bad, I can come find you, too. I've healed sunburns often enough.

I think I got a parasol or two here. Condition unclear, though. And some recommendations for sunscreen.

[ Eda is very pale herself, so... she needs the protection. ]
