To be honest, the idea scares him a little? His being generally of the opinion that divinity was not a tangible thing aside, he's gotten the gist by now that that's not necessarily the case everywhere in the wider worlds. If someone or something had power enough to be called a god with minimal argument, how much of that power was inherent to the parts of the body it inhabits?
It's a lot to think about, and he sort of wishes he were a good enough alchemist to see and understand for himself.
