"Huh." That sounds a little ominous, but then again, so does carrying around a bow that's almost definitely made from some kind of ancient beast's bones. He pulls off one of his gloves and tries again, jolting a little when the screen lights up but thankfully having the wherewithal not to drop the thing entirely.

"Oh! So that's what was missing. I'll keep that in mind," he says. Chances are he won't be wearing his riding gloves most of the time here anyway. It's not like he needs them, when his wyvern is in another world and... probably dead.

(He does not let that pang of grief and regret show on his face, beyond a brief furrowing of his brow.)

"Anyway, you where saying? Something about everyone who's going through this being connected. Is it through these things, somehow? I read the pamphlet that came with it. They're for communicating over long distances, right?"
