[closed to August. Usually Nox isn't one to hurry himself to a location unless it's work-related, but for anyone who's seen him as he passes by may notice that he's moving like he's got a fire lit under his ass. Clearly, nothing suspicious is going on where he's headed to, none!!

It may not help the fact that he's toting around a five foot sword on his back as if it weighs nothing, either.

Still, he's there in about twenty minutes, give or take, feeling his demon pace and his own excitement hum a little under his skin. Nox is trying hard not to count down the minutes until August gets there, if only because he was on the opposite end of the meter in terms of accepting his demon probably around a month ago. Ironic, how things have changed since.

August is absolutely getting a call out when he arrives though.]

Yeah, mini-explosion right there as Nox raises an arm and everything. And standing there after the explosion sure is an eight-foot tall demon with ephemeral wings and everything. Nox crosses his arms and grins, even as inhuman as it looks.]

[August is utterly delighted and wastes no time in transforming himself because come on. He has to! This is fucking cool!]

Dude. Dude. What the shit! Wait, can you fly?

[Can he fly. Can he fly????? Nox almost goes and sasses back that his wings clearly aren't there for decoration, when he gets struck by another idea.

He doesn't say anything, but just grabs August by the scruff of his feathery neck and hauls ass upwards, wings easily hoisting him and his demon bird friend into the sky. There's really no issue in carrying him along for the ride, really.

[Julian, the traitor, takes off on his own when he realizes what Nox is doing because he is a bird who can fly, thank you.

August, meanwhile, just screams--first in surprise then in delight because dude!]

[Nox is not helping other than just trolling the shit out of August in all this, absolutely thrilled at the whole thing of finally settling back into something familiar. It may not have been his power before all this, but he's going to use it now to protect everyone he can with it, because he can. His demon is in agreement right along with him.

He makes a few lazy circles around the parking lot, eyes out to make sure he doesn't collide with Julian or other surprise birds along the way. Eventually, he sweeps down low enough to have August easily drop to the ground, before he lands right after. Nox pulls out of his demon form, but lets the wings still linger on his shoulders, a cheeky grin right across his face.]

Well, at least one of us isn't gonna eat shit if we fall from a skyscraper.

[Nearby the void Denny's? Try standing on the roof. Why? It's not important.

What is important is Jun is in his shroud, minding his own business, when he hears these voices. He leans over the roof ledge to peer down and see what's going on.

[He lands and transforms once he hits the ground, whistling for Julian. The raven comes around, head cocked.]

Hey, Julian, show Nox what you can do now.

[And so Julian takes to the sky, shooting up and stopping about ten feet above the ground...and starts to grow. And grow. Until he's about the size of a horse.]

[There's definitely a whistle at that, and Nox raises a brow. He watches Julian, clearly a large bird now and definitely rideable, very obviously proud of the new power for him.

..........you know, August didn't have to start this, but he's somehow not noticed that Nox's personality now follows his past life's almost to a T.

Which is all to say that Julian and his owner just brought about a challenge to a guy who practically lives off these things, and one-upping someone for shits and giggles? Is now right up his alley.

For a moment he twists his mouth in thought, though really, he's just playing this out to make it seem like he's stumped on how to even prove he's better. Nox already knows what to do. Eventually, he shrugs, but won't stop smiling.]

Hey, August, you know that one saying?

[Things seem pretty normal... before one of the wings on his back stretches out with what's actually a claw, and grips August's collar as quick as possible. Nox just widens his grin.]

It takes a second or two before he rights himself, but he's still grinning ear to ear.]

[If by "nearby" you mean "hanging out on the roof", then yes, Meti is pretty close to the void Denny's. Why's he hanging out up there? Don't worry about it.

He does worry about the noises though and peers over the edge of the roof, ready to intervene if someone's getting mugged or something. But no, turns out it's just a couple of idiots having a sword fight and openly using their powers. So normal Denny's shit, really.

...Though his hand itches to reach for a blade of his own (a strange feeling, considering he's never held a proper sword before, but one he'd been experiencing with increasing frequency), he settles for sitting himself down, legs dangling over the side of the building to watch this go down.

Once he takes a quick glance around to see nobody's watching him, he pulls out a milkshake from his cape and lifts his mask just enough to get a straw under it, because really, who can watch a good fight without a good snack to go with it?]

I haven't noticed too much shit besides busting at least three of the old punching bags at school wide open, when I was still dealing with the whole... [He makes a gesture at his head before signaling the idea of being crazy, referring to his post last month.] Yeah, that.

Then again, besides fighting Jun, I really haven't been in a ton of situations like that. Even in the Spirit Realm this month, I only fought a few things, and it never got that bad.
