[While Hunter stayed in the bathroom, Elliot did try to sleep some. It wasn't exactly a restful sleep. While he knew Hunter needed time alone and bothering him wouldn't do any good ... but nerves still ate at him about how their conversation went. He had tried to tread carefully, but apparently he hadn't been careful enough and still managed to hurt the kid. That's what he gets for trying to navigate that minefield before coffee, he supposes.
Or maybe he really was just in over his head with all this.
Eventually, after wavering in and out of sleep for awhile, he gives up the ghost and gets up. Hunter is still in the bathroom at this point, from the looks of it...and he was still a cat.
Right. Ok. Try to take care of the cat problem first. If he gets the curse taken care of by the time Hunter comes out, they can put that whole exchange behind them. Yeah! Shouldn't be a problem!
Except, there is one teeny weeny problem. And that is.....human objects are really made for people with thumbs to operate. Something he sorely lacked in this form. So what would be a relatively quick action in his human form? Suddenly becomes a gigantic challenge.
So when Hunter opens up toe door to peek out? Elliot won't notice, because he's way too busy making annoyed cat sounds as he's grappling his bag and trying to yank the zipper open with his teeth. And no, it's not going great, as he yanks too hard on this attempt and makes his own body flip over and off the bag with a cat noise that sounds agonized because NO NOT AGAIN.

He's trying his best here.]
