Here, only some people know about it, and we're still in the confines of the modern world? It's hard to know what is and isn't allowed, or what could happen.

I mean, it might not even be your ONLY gift, for all we know! Maybe this is where you start, learning how to better use it before you possible gain something else? When I first learned my light spell, I thought it might be the only glyph I ever learned. Now I can do more spells, but it was where I first started, and it's the glyph I know best.
