[ Anaxagoras had seen some mention on the network this afternoon of a new bookstore opening in Kaisou. Despite there being a number of other bookstores already present in the city, this one piqued his interest in a way none of the rest of them had. One thing led to another, and he made his way across town to come and peruse the manga collection...

... Only to realize that he has no idea what he's looking at. ]

What a garbled mess... how could it all be out of order...?

[ The bookstore is well-organized, of course, that isn't the problem that he finds himself with. It's that, once he does finally locate a few volumes of that "Eva" that Miss Belle had recommended to him all that time ago... the book is printed in the wrong direction...... with the ending of the issue placed at the front of the book! Is it a mistake? how could such a glaring misprint make it onto the shelf? Surely someone would have noticed long before it reached a retail environment...

... The last page is, unfortunately, stuck to the inside of the book cover where it would explain that he is reading it in the wrong direction. Anaxa has no idea how to approach manga volumes, and is, as such, hopelessly confused. To any onlookers, he very much gives off the airs of an old man who has no idea what he's doing here... and to be fair, that's not all that far off the mark. ]

[ Surprisingly, Anaxa doesn't startle when the unfamiliar girl spontaneously approaches him. He's far too used to a certain Dolos cat pulling the same trick, over and over and over again, after all. ]

They read... backward? How novel. The young woman who recommended this series to me neglected to mention that little detail.

[ He watches her reach for a new copy, narrowing his eye slightly as she displays the warning page inside the back cover. So that's how it is...

He looks up again when she... almost gets his name right. ]

It's Anaxagoras. [ A beat. ] The Fluffy? That book over there, you mean? I've never read it. I'm not particularly fond of the style of anthropomorphized animals.
