[Dan Heng is making a very rare post on the Gemini network today. He's aware that the timing could be better, but he's hoping that the news can do something to lift some spirits. Give them something new to focus on other than everything that happened during those cursed games.

Blade and Jing Yuan are... somewhere off camera. However, Cirrus the Altaria is cheerfully humming right behind him and Qinglong the Dragonair is casually acting like a scarf around Dan Heng's shoulders.]

Hello. I... have something of an announcement to make.

[He's a little nervous, but he's trying. Dan Heng doesn't really do big personal updates like this so publicly. However... he's the only normal one of the trio. So this is how it has to be.]

A lot of friends and family are on this app, and this is just more... expedient. [A beat.] Blade, Jing Yuan, and I are currently engaged.

[Dan Heng then holds up his hand to show the ring with a diamond moon on his finger. Although it's shy, there's a smile on his face.]

We haven't decided on a date for the wedding yet. We're just enjoying the engagement at the moment. Ah... all three of us are here to answer questions.

[Yes, he's involving both of his fiances in this. He's not doing this entirely alone, damn it!]

Congratulations all three of you. I'm glad you and Yuan'er found each other and Blade again and can make each other so happy.

[ Lapis has been a little stressed about these new gates popping up, but hearing this is more than enough to get her to perk up. ]

Oh, congrats! That's wonderful news, I'm so happy for you guys.

[ While unseen, there is the gentle 'thump-thump' as her tail wags against the floor. ]

We... haven't decided yet. My mother has expressed a desire to walk me down the aisle, though it's hard to tell if she was joking or serious. Or both. It's going to be part of the planning.

The last time Blade made any sort of announcement, it was an unmitigated disaster, and Jing Yuan is... mischievous. I was truthfully the only one who could.

[Notice how he's not denying the mischievous accusations against Jing Yuan. They are friends for a reason, after all. And, well, he wasn't in town yet for the Blade Incident.]

Oh, I didn't do anything there. Is it really doing much if you're just tapping your friend on the shoulder about it? It was all him, he could have just as easily ignored me.

[Don't perceive him and how he only takes credit for things that are jokes Dan Heng.]

It's one of Blade's finest works, I do agree. He told me that he enchanted it with the power to heal, which I'm extremely grateful for. While I have knowledge of how to use magic to heal, I simply do not have that power anymore. This is a boon I didn't think I would get again.

[With all the deadpan snark he can muster:]

[Caleb blinks and you can actually see the lightbulb go off here it's kind of hilarious.
