This is Anby Demara, a Guardian of the Black Order. I have downloaded the app required per the mission perimeters of the Kaisou Team, and will use it to record my personal log in hopes of remaining transparent under the new leadership.

[-- yeah she's clearly misunderstood the purpose of the Libra app, but the voice recording keeps going]

The date is June 8th, 2025. It has been one week since I have arrived in Kaisou, [a passing truck honks, making the state name inaudible]. Since then, I have prioritized finalizing my living arrangements and familiarizing myself with the city.

As of recording, I have located 1 movie theater and 3 burger joints in my immediate. The movie theater offers a decent matinee price, though the film I watched was rather disappointing. It was a live action remake of the animated classic Lilo & Stitch. The film was more sanitized than the original one, and it ended with Nami giving Lilo up to the state. I am unsure how to feel about that change to the story, but I don't think I liked it.

I should try to look into other ways to find movies, as even with the matinee deal, seeing movies frequently there will add up in cost.

Tonight I plan to try a In-n-Out burger for the first time. I have heard about these burgers in online communities for years, but they never had a store location in Florida. It was a surprise to find one here, and I'm excited for tonight's meal. [She says still very much in a monotone. So excited :| ]

That is all I can think of that's worth noting, so I will be signing off. Please note that all expenses I referenced have been made using personal money.

[Sometimes Belle wonders where the Cunning Hares are. She hopes that they're safe, she hopes that they're alive, she hopes that they're doing okay and are, at the very least, not too broke to afford to put groceries in the table.

She misses them. They were some of the closest friends she and Wise ever had—of course she misses them. But she's grown used to missing people.]

[But now—

That's Anby. That's Anby. Belle stares, frozen in place, at her phone for...a long time. She wants to ask:]

[Do you remember me?]

Oh, it is? [Oop] Noted, I had mistaken it as one of the Order's new regulations. I will correct my planned usage accordingly.

[And there is so many things she could note on-- especially him noting that he's a representative of Neith. But.

To Anby, there is something much more important than that]

You should have a burger. They are delicious and contain all the required nutritional foods that a person needs: bread, meat, and veggies.

Yeah, I don't know what got up Disney's ass that they thought to remake Lilo and Stitch at all, let alone do it that way! What a terrible mess.

Honestly, if you want the least offensive live-action remake, I'd say...try Cinderella, maybe? I didn't hate it. Sorry—hi! I'm Belle. I run Random Play on Shopping Street.

[Anyway, the talk of food's what catches Lia's attention, because of course it does.]

In-n-Out's pretty good. I'm a little more partial to Culver's, personally, but I've definitely enjoyed In-n-Out.

[Well, this is the closest you get to seeing Anby have a shocked face- because here it is. Of course she remembers Belle. In the memories, she was one of her dearest friends outside the Cunning Hares. But as she understood it, those memories were of a past. A past that wasn't reachable.]

Manager? Is that you?

They did what now to Lilo and Stitch? Oh—yeah, the In-n-Out burger's fine, I guess. Honestly I like the Crow's Nest fries better.

—don't you have a Netflix account or...?

[She drops the act fast, relieved to hear Anby's recognition:] Yeah! Yeah, it's me. Uh, Wise isn't here, but I'm still running Random Play. We're still a video rental store and we still offer VIP memberships, same model as before.

Yes, he did explain. I will be sure to change my usage of the app accordingly.

Culvers? That is another restaurant I have heard of but was not located in Florida. Is the regional burger place of the midwest, correct? Are there locations in this city as well?

Quite understandable. Being frank, there's much to be gained in at least keeping watch on what's posted here.

Crow's Nest? I've never heard of that place. Is it a burger place unique to this city?

No, I only use streaming accounts that still allow for password sharing, as I share my passwords with friends.

[So Belle is here and Wise isn't... that fact alone feels wrong, because those siblings were always together, but she knows at least that sometimes siblings get separated. ]

That is unfortunate that Wise isn't here, but I'm really glad to see you too. I never thought it'd happen.

[Anby sounds as sincere and warm as possible in her tone. Which. Isn't a lot by normal people standards, but for belle she'd be able to tell]

... But how are you able to keep Random Play open in the age of streaming?

[Harumasa has been scrolling through the Libra app as part of his routine. Mostly to see if anyone he knows has suddenly come on, or on the off-chance that Wise makes it onto here. He's promised Belle to continue keeping an eye out for her missing brother, and he intends to keep trying until his last.

But then there's a familiar woman from his past life. He's about to dismiss it until she starts talking. His phone clatters to the floor and most of what Anby says is muffled through sudden static in his ears. The spoiled ending to Lilo & Stitch's live action "remake" sticks in his mind while it unfortunately races.

Breathe. He has to breathe. It's hard, it's really hard, but he. Has. To. Breathe.

Even if all Harumasa really wants to do is break down and scream or wail.

It's been almost 20 years since he's seen his big sister, and she's been alive this whole time? He feels like that old wound has suddenly been ripped open. All that old grief he finally was able to put aside comes rushing back to him like it was just yesterday that he was told she perished in the Spirit Realm.

You like to bake? That sounds like an interesting hobby. I don't know how to do it myself.

[She lives the take out and frozen dinner life.]

As many vegetables as you want, as burgers can be fully customized to people's preferences- that is one of the many highlights of burgers.

Onions are considered a common vegetable to include, but you can easily request for there to be no onions. Though sometimes the patties are made with garlic powder, so I recommend checking with the restaurant before ordering.

That's correct! And yeah, we have at least a couple locations--there's one around Shopping Street and one in the university district.

[A beat.]

There's another burger joint on Shopping Street that I'm aware of, too--Big Bang Burger. I actually haven't tried it out yet, but it might be worth checking out?

I do indeed~ I was restricted to fire-baking before, but now I've finally been able to do the ones that need boiling~

[THAT'S RIGHT. THE ANCIENT EGYPTIANS HAD BAGELS.

Hmm. In that case I'll probably go with as little as possible. I can eat them, certainly but...I don't have much of a taste for it, being as feline-bodied as I am. ....Thank you for the warning about the patties, that would have been extremely unpleasant.

[Belle smiles a little. She can hear the sincerity in her old friend's tone, so she hums in response.]

Yeah. I'm honestly really surprised to see you, too. I'm glad you're all right, all things considered. Wise... [A breath.] Well, I'm working on finding him.

[No dice so far, but she still hopes. As for her question, there's an awkward pause.]

Well. I have another brother! He's...uh, very popular on OnlyFans, and the money from there goes into paying bills here. [A beat.] Please tell me you know what OnlyFans is. [Well, that and the hacker sideline, but Belle's not too proud to acknowledge that Zelos pulls in more money regularly than her hacker jobs do.]

[Finally, Harumasa is able to recover just enough of himself to feel like he can speak to her. He wants to, even if it hurts. He never believed the adults that said Anby was a traitor, especially not in hindsight. But that little kid he'd been always clung to the memory of her reading stories to him in funny voices. In little kid logic, nobody with evil intentions would go through all that effort to entertain an energetic kid like him.

He doesn't bother with "testing" her. That's simply his big sister. If she still wants that relationship with him again, that's up to her. He knows he does.]

[Anby, for her credit, barely bats an eye at someone mentioning they're cat body. Her past memories lived with a cat thiren and she is a cat person herself. ]

Yes, burgers are my favorite food so I have endeavored to learn a lot about them.

Since you're a cat, I'll try to send you a list of which burger places don't include garlic in their patties. I haven't tried all the burger places in Kaisou yet, so the list may take awhile to be completed.

However, you can trust McDonalds. Their burgers are cheap and relatively simple. If anything, they are an excellent first experience burger. I recommend a simple cheeseburger for you, with fries and a coke.

[Ah, hm.] ...Well, really a few months after I got here as well, until circumstances forced me to move into the Crystal Tower, but I digress.

For the last near decade I lived in the woods within the Rockies. Rather few options even for grain, let alone cooking there.

This town is incredible. I never thought I'd get a chance to taste test the different regional specialty burgers in an easy manner. I will have to do this.

[Anby meanwhile freezes dead in her tracks. That's a name she hasn't been called in a very, very long time - from a part of her past that she would've preferred remained forgotten.

And Harumasa has grown, his voice has changed naturally with it. So she doesn't recognize it immediately. Instead she tenses, like an animal that's suddenly on alert and assessing if she's in danger]
