WHO: August and the app
WHERE: The app
WHEN: Late November
WHAT: We Need To Organize
WARNINGS: August swears?

[The video opens up on August in the Cygnus office, mostly because his house is a mess of Pre-Christmas Christmas-ing and the office is not. Both of his ravens are perched nearby because at this point they just do that when the camera is on.]

Okay, now that we're all recovering from the bullshit of November and the dragon and the fuckin' yokai...I think we need to start, like, organizing shit. This last year has been so much chaos and bullshit and there's like, no...I don't know, lines of communication, designated safe havens, or anything for emergencies. Seriously, I think the biggest emergency signal we have is Shroud coming on the app.

[He won't out Jun but he has noticed a pattern and he does not like it.]

We've got that scanner or whatever POKEGO is working on for gates, but what're we gonna do with the gates and the isekais? What about if something like what happened with the yokai happens again? Or the whole deal in April? Or whatever happened in October? I dunno, I just think we need to start figuring something out--a first point of contact, save havens, something--and I think we need to start figuring it out now.

I think that once Azalea's scanner is more readily available to the population at large, the next step would be to start gathering volunteers to assign into categories--combat, defense, healers, that kind of thing. That way we can start setting up a response system of sorts whether for smaller isekai labyrinths or responding more quickly to whatever shit happens with the next larger gates.

I'd say the Academy's been put through a good initial stress test as a safe haven, so for you and I specifically we should work towards a stock of emergency supplies and possibly that basement we were considering a while ago.

Oh, definitely. I've got a couple methods to help with that, but nothing that'll be likely to fund a whole damn bunker on its own.

More safe havens wouldn't be a bad idea. I think it'd be for the best to have multiple across the city--I think I'd like to see about making Gen into one for the University District.

I would like to pledge my aid to whatever endeavor we begin.

I have experience working with technology. I would like to propose a network separate from Zodiac's.

Well, there's the occasional phoenix feathers which sell decently to the right people in Undertown, and a while ago I apparently developed the ability to create gemstones.

...That one shop is so goddamn weird that I've stopped questioning what happens there, as an aside.

[Wow he feels called out]

It's not like that was my intention.

True enough. One or two more common ones might not hurt, but it's not reliable unless we find someone who needs them as magic reagents.

And don't worry about that. I kind of need most of those feathers to get around, I can stick to the few I tend to drop when I change back.

Yes, but it is impossible for us to tell who is looking.

Furthermore, what if something should happen to Zodiac? We don't know what sort of infrastructure Zodiac uses; if the network were to go down, we would be in a difficult spot.

I'm crazy, not stupid.

[at least he knows]

We'll figure something out.

I'd consider it pretty decently big. Although, honestly, university district's probably a place that could benefit from multiple safe havens.

Now, ideally, I think we should have at least one in each major district. Might not be a bad idea to start poking around to see where we can have them established.

[Now is the time to strategize on several fronts, it seems.]

A few safe havens set up throughout the city would not be a bad idea.

Cathedral Hill was one such place, was it not? The statue that resides there, as well as the one in front of Seven Star Mall—decorated as it might be—are blessed and will heal the wounds of those who touch them.

I have some ideas, but I do not know how feasible it would be.

I'd like to talk again at a later date. There are some people I would like to check in with first, and I'm hesitant to speak over the network where people may be listening.

I suppose so.

I don't know the answer, but I'll do what I can to help.

[Look large scale strategizing is not his forte and he knows it

Telepathically:]

Right. I can't say I'd mind if we found another solution either. That last mission ended up being more high profile than to my liking.
