[Their mission was long done in the Library of Alexandria. Eunie knew they had a mission there, but who they were looking for was a mystery to her. Probably on purpose. Ash and Fugo somehow freed themselves from the order. Good for them, they’re kids. They need a chance to keep living their lives.

Right… being around 18 or around their 8th or 9th Term like she was… that’s just a kid, wasn’t it?

She remembered being on her 9th Term. Mio being on her 10th and constantly being afraid about running out of time. That was her in June too. That’s how she remembered Mio so clearly. Her friend from Agnes. The one Noah loved. The one who loved Noah.

She had her own book in the library open, standing beside the shelf. She didn’t seem to be focused on it, though. Mostly just idly skimming, stopping on a few pages of note. Their journey to the City, becoming Ouroboros, being trapped in jail while they couldn’t help Mio in time…

Every time Taion appeared. At least at that she could smile. But after a while she just closed the book and sighed to herself.]

Tch, fucking hell. [She didn’t look scared or shocked. If anything she was conflicted.]

[She sent a text message a second ago, cause she did have a song in her head. Ever since reading that damn book. It’s not a bad song, granted it did make her feel kind of sad. Maybe that wasn’t a bad thing but goddamn it’s making her think too much.

She remembered Zhongli saying that the Glaze Lilies liked being sung to. She wasn’t much of a singer and didn’t know how to play an instrument but people passing through Arcadia where the flowers are planted may spot her whistling a somber tune.]

Dunno, mate. Usually I just end up humming to myself all damned day an' it gets out eventually when somethin' else gets on my mind.

That's what I've been doing and it won't get out! The flowers like it but it's real distracting.

Have y'tried occupyin' yourself? Get your head busy with somesuch else to do, might shove it out your mind for a while.

this ain't really a song i can grab off a youtube link i'll keep that idea for later.

I usually keep on playing the song on loop as long as I can before I suddenly forget about it.

I tend to put it in repeat and listen to it until I cannot listen any longer. Usually about 30 minutes to an hour.

can't do that with this one unless my friends from my past life got are streaming their music somewhere without tellin me

You and me both. I don’t get to play a lot of songs on repeat freely back in my hometown since we don’t have access to the Internet, so having so many song choices at the tip of one’s fingers is quite an experience.

I sing it at the top of my lungs.

[ Ever since finding the book about her past life, Lapis hasn't been... fond of going to the library. She's still grappling with what she's learned, but she also offered to help the little animals around the library as well - something to keep her busy, at the very least.

Though the sight of a familiar face stops her in her tracks, brows furrowing when she notices Eunie flicking through the book. And it's what she sighs to herself that has Lapis approaching, her expression tinged with concern. ]

Are... you alright, Eunie?

Huh? [She was caught a bit by surprise hearing someone else, her feathers puffing a little. But it wasn't a big deal if it was someone she knew.]

Oh, hey Lapis. [She sounded less energized than usual, for reasons that seemed obvious at a glance.]

Yeah... yeah, just wanted to see what all my book here was about.

[ Lapis does keep a bit of distance for now, both for politeness sake and since she did spook the other girl there. This is all very personal, so she doesn't want to invade her space too much. ]

How was it, if it's okay to ask?

[ Even if her expression is something calm, as always, it's clear there's worry for the other girl there. ]

[The initial surprise faded pretty quickly, little about her body language indicated she didn't want Lapis around. If anything the company was quite welcomed.]

It's okay, I don't mind. [A light shake of her head.] A lot of this I knew before, but I never really thought much about how fucked up my past life's world was. And how I got second chance here.

[ Has she reincarnated before? Curiosity wars with overstepping boundaries, and since it doesn't seem Eunie minds the company, Lapis doesn't let herself pull back.

Getting to know her fellow Guardians was something Lapis had issue with before, but she wants to try - and she does like Eunie, so she wants to do her best to support the other woman. ]

What was your past world like?

... Long story. [The fact that she died and was reborn once already in her past was a bit of a wild one. An unpleasant one to recall. She wasn't hiding it per se, it's not like it mattered whether she shared it or not. But thinking about it for too long made her feel sick.

So, there were these two regions in Aionios, my world. Keves where I was from and Agnes. And all we did was fight each other just so we could keep living and feeding life to the Flame Clock cos if that went out so did everyone the Colony it was part of. No time off, no motive, no nothing like that. We had ten years to live and that's all we did was fight.

We ended up learning the reason for it was to keep the Consuls alive forever. Keep 'em immortal or like some kinda bullshit Gods. The more I think on it the more gross it sounds.
