There was a special technique Seal Knights would deploy for threats that couldn't be eliminated. After incapacitating them, they'd seal them within books not unlike the books here. They would then remain within the confines of the book.

Hypothetically... I should be able to use the technique, though admittedly I haven't tried it in this lifetime.
