He folds his arms as he takes up his battle line, staring down at Ritsuka with a sharpness in his gaze. She's done him no wrong; but he's not used to feeling so out of sorts with himself (because he's always an absolute, no matter where or when he is). Ritsuka seems like she knows more than she lets on, and something about that sets up Gilgamesh's hackles, makes him uneasy.

(It makes sense--in another lifetime, he'd know everything he could ever want to know, but his gift for prophecy has been lost to time and rebirth, but that still sits uneasy on his shoulders and makes him feel like something is missing. Again.)

"Not much. The King of the past was a rather solitary creature, wasn't he?"

He's not about to go flinging information out and about; Ritsuka will have to play her cards if she wants the king to reveal what he's holding close to his own chest.
