"And we apparently live in a world where healing magic, like the fantasy games, exists. What have we to fear?"

... because for every ugly thing that exists, there are a dozen other things to be fascinated with, to look towards instead of letting one's anger and pain fester. He smirks as Vergil looks wise and stern beyond his years, baring his teeth in a bright, cheerful grin, patting Ritsuka on her head as she presents the apple and receives the praise of the little... vegetable, that's appeared, and so the king strolls forth to crouch down and take a better measure of the creature.

"A yam with a face. How novel," as he reaches to take the seed, turning it in his hand. "And this token, potato--one of them will suffice for three people doing the work of completing your intricate little puzzle?"

It is not an intricate puzzle, but Gilgamesh A) solved it, and 2) is a master of getting what he wants by charm or force, so if he has to pat a little radish child on the head to get prizes for all three of them, he can do so with a bold grin, full of teeth as he tries not to think too deeply about what 'worse' could've entailed for Ritsuka Fujimaru.

It makes his teeth itch and he thinks of impossibly high places.
