"I hope so," he says, feeling a little better knowing Jamie now sounds like he is considering alternate possibilities to just fighting and eventually killing the creature, even though Luca has no idea if there even is a way to snap the creature out of its current rampage.

He hesitates, though, knowing once they take these out there...

"Uh...are you going to need something so you can breathe down there? I remember humans where I'm from had suits that let them breathe underwater. Maybe the Atleanteans would have something like that for you?"

Sure, Jamie said he had water powers, but Luca has no idea whether or not breathing underwater is part of that. Of course, maybe he shouldn't have said 'humans' like he was not one, but since they're about to go underwater, Luca's sure Jamie will be seeing what he really is soon enough.
