it didn't smell bad. his stomach rolls with new hunger, something that kni was still getting used to here. he picks up the fork and takes a small scoop, a little rice and a bite of omelette carefully balanced on his utensil.
looking like he's about to dive off a cliff and not eat a very innocent bite of omurice, kni stuffs the forkful into his mouth. it's different from the fruit he's picked from the garden, finding something that tastes close to nature a little easier to swallow. he chews slowly, staring a hole into the tabletop.
