[Zhongli is going to pretend he didn't hear that. And true to form he doesn't bring it up even when they're at the table. More important is bringing Venti's smile back, and making him comfortable enough that he can trust an old friend with his troubles.]
East Frisian tea is curious and bracing. I like the spirit of it.
[He likes his tea to be strong enough to knock out a horse, but more elegantly, so of course Zhongli would take to it. The rock sugar and the cream part is so unnecessary but he can't help liking the delicate ceremony anyway. It feels nice to perform.]
... Ah.
[So his powers have returned. Zhongli thought this was likely to happen. He himself feels different, but considering he hasn't been able to access all of his abilities as a god, he thinks he must be limited somehow...]
You woke up as—
[Is there even a good way to describe it? Zhongli holds up his hand with his thumb and fingers forming a long 'c' shape, the universal gesture of 'tiny'.]
That... must have been quite the shock. I know you and Barbatos still have some things to resolve.
[He considers, and then he pulls off his gloves and rolls his sleeves back a bit. Having taken off his coat at the door, it's a lot easier to do. Sure enough, glowing gold against his tan skin are the same leylines he had in a past life. They follow the lines of his veins on the outside and inside of his arm.]
... You aren't alone in this, though you may be the only one of us with proper divine power at the moment. I can sense it.
