[ that sounds like what someone who doesn't have the (plastic-based) cash in hand to buy out a store's entire stock would say about shopping.

Gilgamesh is turning a plate in his hands, careful as he regards the piece--and because, again, it takes more than a dark-haired weirdo manifesting at his elbow to startle Gilgamesh (there is a 10 foot minimum on freaking him out when approaching), he barely flinches when the resident antiquarian from the local LARP meetup slams in with an emotional Red Bull in hand, his hyperfixation well on display.

... and because Gilgamesh is the kind of person who would attend a LARP meetup just to see what the hell people were doing there, he actually listens quite attentively, turning the plate for Zhongli as the man identifies the poetry woven into the design like the world's most helpful pair of hands on the Antique Roadshow.

normal people don't wear dragon trenchcoats with LEDs sewn into key places, but they also don't wear black leather trenchcoats with asymmetrical sleeves and one (1) glove, so Zhongli is in Company at least, even if it isn't good. ]

How fascinating! My mother owned several sets of pieces like this that she'd have the maids display depending on the season, so I found the design rather nostalgic. She'd likely be displeased to think that she hadn't owned the originals after all.

[ he seems... amused at the thought, turning the plate to get a better look at the inscription to see how much of the poem he can pick out. ]
