The bear-monster stalks past the two of them, heading for the sobbing little girl. She tries to scramble away, but the fear and general disorientation is catching up to her, and she's stumbling in the snow.
For a while, the child Rean's body just lays still in the snow, and either Rean or Jun would be forgiven for thinking he was dead. But as the monster closes in on Elise, he finally begins to stir, ever-so-slowly pushing himself back to his feet.]
