It's just right on the app, I sorta stumbled on it a bit ago and— hey wait, it's butts o'clock, why's anyone still up at this time? [Why are you still up, Sara?]

But no, I've been kinda restless the past few days. Relocated, still getting used to the place, and my roomies are pretty spry!

[Sara's no stranger to moving from one place to another; it's one of the things she hates most, because it's only ever meant that things have gone badly for her once again.] ... Oh.

[But this other girl—probably three or four years older than her if she had to guess—doesn't appear to be too bothered by the idea of having moved, if she's even bothered by it at all, so whatever her reason for the move is, it's probably not as bad.

She doesn't want to touch the subject of moving, so, back to game things.] I'm kinda bad at most games, really, so I'm just playing it as...I dunno, it's something to do. [She wanted a distraction.]

[It isn't fun, and considering who's been taking care her the whole time, it actually stings in many ways. Losing her only way of travel and friendly face from the Isles was pretty much insult to injury too, but there was little she could do about it.

So. The name of the game was finding things to occupy her time].

Ah, I get that. If you want, you can watch me play, so you can get the hang of it, and THEN we can take on the computer!

I dunno, I mean, I was just doing the single-player stuff. [The classic "just survive as long as you can" mode.

So maybe watching Luz or anyone else as they play it could be a thing, at a more-reasonable hour than 3 A.M., but when it comes to actually playing it for herself again, it's not going to be in versus mode, against anyone else or the computer.]

I hear you! You want to try and master it yourself! Fair enough. I might be a bit rusty though.

[This was only a little true: Luz may not have played in a while, but she was a girl that caught on pretty quickly, and when she was involved in something, she was pretty engrossed. Luz started off easy, then started pulling in more complex lines for herself to work out of].

[With this being over the network and not in person, Sara...has no way of watching any single-player attempts right now, if Luz has started playing the game.]

Maybe not master it, but like...I don't wanna suck at it? [She only wants to have a run that lasts longer than two minutes.]

Okay so like most of the pieces are pretty easy to use but then the zig-zaggy ones just kind of ruin everything real quick I get them.

[Zig-zaggy ones... S and Z-blocks?]

See, you have to look at tetris like a sort of strange, unwinding building. Sure, anyone can do a straight, vertical building, but if you want it to be expansive and really add more depth, the zig zaggy ones can be your friend!

Or heck, if you amp up the mode and have to fix what's kinda messed up, ALL the pieces are going to play a part somehow.

[She has no idea what Luz means. Why would you want to be all fancy about how you stack the pieces when the point is to just make the blocks disappear?]

[She's probably going to have to actually watch someone play the game themselves, at a more-reasonable hour.]

I may have been playing Tetris 99 when I have Luz in mind.

[To make it fun! If all you were doing was making them disappear, that would make for a boring game!

Granted, Luz was playing Tetris back home on a newer system which had to deal with a pretty evil computer enemy. She tended to get pretty creative when she needed to regarding taking down all the blocks].

Yeah, maybe. Dunno when, though; can I let you know when I find out what'd be a good time for it?

[If Luz were to come over at some point, Sara would have to tell her foster parents that she has a friend who wants to visit—but she's not sure how they'd react since she's never really pursued friendships and they know it. Would they take it as a sign that she's finally in a better place emotionally, or would it possibly be seen as cause for concern due to being something so not-normal for her?

Same goes if she were to visit Luz instead, except it would be her saying she wanted to go visit a friend, instead of that friend coming to visit her.

Either way, there would also be the matter of seeing what would be a good time for it.]

I've suddenly found myself with a lot of time after school. And I can do it on a weekend for sure!
