WHO: Usagi and OPEN
WHERE: her labyrinth
WHEN: February 27th
WHAT: waking up and getting out
WARNINGS: spoilers for the last few chapters of the manga
[Usagi has been here before. She knows this place that she's awakened in. The Desert River of Oblivion shouldn't exist like this anymore, not after she chose to regenerate the Galaxy Cauldron. She's quiet as she gets to her feet, brushing off her skirt. She instinctively twists the ring on her left hand, first one way and then the other - it's not that she normally fidgets with it a lot, but she needs that little bit of grounding. It's almost a reminder to herself that a false step here could be disastrous.
The smart thing to do would be to transform, fly upwards and out of the maze, but the sheer fact that she shouldn't be in a place like this has her dumbfounded.
Instead, she tries to get her bearings by marking the spot where she's standing - just tracing a circle in the sand with her finger. She's careful not to get too much of the sand on her, just in case.
Usagi's not going to lie and say she's not scared or confused. She's both of those things, but she's also determined. Time to get up and go, she thinks, and steps forward. Small steps count, after all, and enough of them strung together will make a path out.
She thinks.]
