WHAT: While POKEGO fights over nerd shit, the Addams Family has a potluck.

[There are several long tables pushed together to accommodate a small crowd, and all are draped in crimson and gold tablecloths. Two are set up with enough space for all the dishes people are bringing. It should be an impressive spread, if only because no one wants Velvet to eat them instead of the food... There are plates and silverware on the ends, and napkins. For drinks: there's a quick boil tea kettle and a more traditional one for people who insist on having their tea a certain way, some kind of fruit punch, water, generic brand soda, and whatever else people decide to contribute.

The other two tables are for people to sit at. Someone has taken the time to fold extra napkins in a stupidly fancy way and set them as decoration. As for chairs, there are twelve and then some, just in case someone wanted to bring a friend. Unfortunately, the Black Order can't count so who knows if that will even get noticed.

It's not high class, but with all the food spread out... it sure looks tasty.]

[ Oh. That's... a little embarrassing to hear, but she just breathes out a brief laugh. ]

In that case, I'll see if he'll like anything else I make. I have some recipes I could try...

[ If he likes anything else she makes, she'll consider it a win.

And. Well. That actually isn't too surprising, really. Especially considering some of the personalities here. And she mulls over that bit of information for a moment, before coming to a conclusion; ]

So if there's food, everyone is more likely to gather.

[He can see the gears turning in her head. He's already done his part to encourage her, so he simply nods.]

... A keen observation. Yes, I think the chances of everyone attending are greatly increased when food is on the table.

[He clears his throat and adds:]

Not everyone is a natural at the culinary arts. Such gatherings benefit them the most. It's not my business to pry, but I do have some concerns about how often some of them are able to eat a proper meal.

[Zhongli doesn't need to eat so obviously he doesn't count here (also he can cook a little), it's more about Ash and Ei...]

[ So, the majority of the Guardians are food motivated. This is Lapis' conclusion... Which also applies to herself, really.

But she nods along with his words; it's a valid concern, especially with some of the younger people here. And the person who brought in way too many McNuggets... ]

Mmm, there's not much you can really do about that... [ Unless they're Encouraged to take cooking classes. ]

Maybe this could be more of a regular thing? Not sure what sort of frequency would work best, but at least then it means some of the others can have actual food. [ Pause. ] And it's a good way of keeping in touch with each other too.
